a. Bahwa Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia menjamin

kesejahteraan tiap-tiap warga negaranya, termasuk perlindungan

terhadap hak anak yang merupakan hak asasi manusia

yang dalam dirinya melekat harkat dan martabat sebagai manusia

seutuhnya.

perlindungan serta untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan anak

dengan memberikan jaminan pemenuhan hak-haknya serta

adanya perlakuan tanpa diskriminasi.

To Enact: A Law on Child Protection

Pasal 1

Dalam UU ini yang dimaksud dengan:

a. Anak adalah seseorang yang belum berusia 18 (delapan belas)

tahun, termasuk anak yang masih dalam kandungan.

Article 1

The following definition shall apply in this Law:

a. A “Child” shall mean a person under eighteen (18) years of age,

including the unborn.

Setiap anak berhak untuk memperoleh perlindungan dari:

a. Penyalahgunaan dalam kegiatan politik

b. Pelibatan dalam sengketa bersenjata

c. Pelibatan dalam kerusuhan sosial

d. Pelibatan dalam peristiwa yang mengandung unsur kekerasan; and

e. Pelibatan dalam peperangan

Every child shall be entitled to protection from the following

b. Involvement in an armed conflict;

c. Involvement in social unrest;

d. Involvement in an event that involves violence; and

e. Involvement in war.

imposed upon them by law, by serving the community and by

protecting all persons against illegal acts, consistent with the

high degree of responsibility required by their profession.
