IPR Aware World – A Social, Non-Profit, Open Campaign is hosting the 2nd International Indo-African Student Meet for IPR Awareness, Mumbai, India. - The core focus of this conference is to provide a social and open platform to discuss, share experience and present status of IPR Awareness in the area of Africa and India. - The proceedings of this event are dedicated to WIPO, Geneva and ARIPO, Harare. Meet Discussions & Topics: • Historical & Contemporary facts of African territory intellectual property system such as establishment of Ethiopian IP System, its membership with International Treaties for ex. World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ,1998. • Missions & IP Awareness programmes in African countries – Involvement of African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) & WIPO, Geneva. • IP Education status in universities and research institutions. • Compulsory licensing & other IP laws enforcement in African countries and Indian territory. • Need IP policies in Universities. • Discussions on “Challenges regarding to spreading IPR awareness in rural areas”. • Current possible alternatives to reach up to common masses – Online social media platform, through web 2.0 tools etc. * Discussing the benefits and respective measures related to accessibility of WIPO online academy courses in rural areas of Developing and least developing countries. *All logos and trademarks are the intellectual properties of their respective owners.
