• In Honor of National Library Week, we thought it would be fun to have a “Book-themed” cake decorating contest. All you had to do is bake a cake and decorate it to represent a scene or character from a favorite book, be it a beloved children’s book or your favorite adult book. • We had Four cakes entered into the contest • We allowed anyone coming through the library to judge the cakes, and they would put a token in the box of the cake they liked the best. Judging ran from 9:30am-12:30pm. • We had about 320 people participate in the voting/judging of the cakes. • The winners are listed below • At 1pm we announced the winners and began cutting into these beautiful creations and shared them with anyone that came into the café. • It was a very successful event, and I think all who participated had a good time. • Please consider participating next year for our 3 rd Annual Literary Cake Decorating Contest. We’re hoping to get even more Literary Cakes to choose from each year!
