Welcome to week 5
Hello to all the students in 12B,
You have been doing such a great job with your work so far. I’m am very proud of you and look forward to seeing more fabulous work!
Like last week, all your activities for Maths will be in this document. Please look through it carefully and let me know if you have any questions. All your activities are to be completed in your scrap book or you can print out the worksheets and complete on there. Keep this work safe, as you will need to bring it back to school once we return.
This week, I have selected a task which I would like everybody to send me. Please make sure that you complete this and take a photo and send it to me before 3:30pm on Friday May 15th. My email address is [email protected]

What is a 2D Shape?
2 Dimensional or 2D shapes are flat and have curved lines or more than 2 straight lines and also have corners which you can count.
Some examples of 2D shapes are circles, squares, rectangles, triangles and hexagons.
On the next few slides, take a look at some examples of 2D shapes we find in the world around us..

Activity:Part 1 - Draw and copy the table of shapes into your scrapbooks.
Part 2 – Look around your house and backyard and draw all the shapes that you see. Remember 2D shapes are flat, so what you find must be flat too!
