Construction and OperationlType FGC consists of 2 independent

3 pole and neutral switch disconnector

coupled and mechanically interlocked

by an innovative mechanism. Ratings

200 A to 1250 A in type FGC is

characterised by a compact designwith single output.

lSingle handle operation.

In position I, supply I is connected tothe load and supply II is disconnected.

Safety Features

lClear indication of handle position,

door interlocking facility ensures the

safety of the operator.

Pad locking avoids unauthorised use ofswitch in Off position.

lHandle cannot be taken to the O

position without forcefully opening of

contacts.

Design FeatureslNeutral pole closes first and opens last

and hence avoids accidental over

voltage surges between phase and

neutral.

lQuick make and break mechanismwhich makes the opening and closing

of the contacts independent of speed

and operation.

lTorque required for switch operation is

wipe feature cleans the contact

automatically during opening and

closing.
