LATES Please support our school by ensuring your child is on time everyday, in school by 8.55am. Persistent lateness has a negative impact on a child’s learning and is extremely disruptive to teachers when they have to deal with late children. Please remember, if your child is late once within a week he/she will spend Friday lunchtime in detention with Ms Cooper. Thank you. Mrs G O’Neill, Inclusion Manager

YEAR 3 LOWRY CONCERT
On 26th June, year 3 children went to the Lowry to play their musical instruments in front of an audience.
Everybody had a great time. The children played beautifully they were all very confident and their behaviour
was exemplary. One of our parents said: ‘My daughter never used to be very confident and it brought tears
to my eyes to see her performing on the big stage.’ Well done everyone! Mrs Richardson

Fiddlers Lane Primary School—Official @FiddlersLaneCPS email: [email protected]
Dear Parents / Carers,
What a busy couple of weeks we’ve had, sports day, Life Education bus, Lledr Hall, year 3 Lowry concert, year 5H
assembly and winning the potato growing competition! I could not have been more proud of our year 3 pupils at
the Lowry last week. Their performance was fabulous and their behaviour was wonderful. Year 5H’s assembly had
a clear message of conservation and was both dramatic and informative about looking after our planet. All pupils
have enjoyed the Life Education bus this week and pupils in KS1 & 2 have had safety talks.
In a week of winners, congratulations to Natalia in Yr 6 for winning the Rotary Club poetry competition and to the
Green Safety Team for growing a winning potato crop in the AHDB competition. Next week is equally busy; all
pupils are taking part in a bee-themed arts week and I look forward to seeing everyone at our World Cup themed
Summer Fair on Friday 13th July! Ms Cooper, Headteacher

Year 6 Residential to Lledr Hall
The children in year 6 had a fantastic time at Lledr Hall from Friday to Monday. They all had a go at
numerous adventurous challenges from gorge walking, to kayaking, to orienteering! The weather was
absolutely perfect for outdoor, water-based activities and lots of fun was had by all. Please go to our
school Facebook page to look at all the excitement experienced. A special thank you to Mrs Mansell,
Mrs Rice and Miss Richardson for also giving up their weekend! Mrs Saxton
SPORTS DAY
A big thank you to everyone who made Fiddlers Lane Sports Day such a great success this year. This includes
the children, who all tried their very best in the heat, the staff who organised and worked so hard
motivating and encouraging our pupils and all the
parents and relatives who came along to support.
Also a big thank you to our Friends of Fiddlers Lane
PTA who provided a fantastic range of refreshments.
