The assessment has been completed based on site information and PV Layout provided by AGL Energy Limited. The assessment is completed based on the Roof Steelwork Marking Plan issued by Taylor Thomson Whitting Pty Ltd on 25 Nov 2004. Job number 021641 B. Drawing number 5.2371 Revision 03. We find the existing roof to be structurally adequate and compliant with: AS/NZS 1170 – Structural Design Actions Part 0 – General Principles Part 1 – Permanent Imposed and Other Actions Part 2 – Wind Actions AS 4100 – Steel Structures AS/NZS 4600 – Cold-formed Steel Structures and is considered to be satisfactory for the proposed solar array installation when the following conditions are met. For a definition of the Zones in the roof area, please see Figure1. The PV panel installation zone is illustrated in Figure2. Solar Array Installation Engineering Certificate

Gamcorp (Melbourne) Pty Ltd, being Structural Engineers within the meaning of Australian Building Regulations, have carried out an assessment for a solar array frame installation at 1 Darling Island Rd, Pyrmont, NSW 2009. The assessment has been completed based on site information and PV Layout provided by AGL Energy Limited.

• PV panels to withstand up to 3150Pa uplift• PV Panels to be fixed using Clenergy KlipLok 406 roof clamps• PV panels to be installed using 3 rails minimum within internal zone (green zone in

Figure2)• PV panels to be installed using 4 rails minimum within intermediate zone (blue zone

in Figure2)• No PV panel to be installed within edge zone and corner zone• Rails to be Clenergy ECO rail• Non-penetrative clamps to be placed directly over the roof purlins at every

intersection of purlins and rails• Installation of solar array to be done in accordance with the PV installation manual • This certification excludes assessment of components of the array frame and PV panels

NOTES: • The assessment is based on the capacity of the roof structure and fixings to the roof,

not the array frame and PV panel. It is the responsibility of the installer to adopt the most critical spacing.

• If any of the above conditions cannot be met, the structural engineer must be notified immediately.

In Figure2, no installation within 4.8m from roof corners and within 2.4m from roof edges. Installing using 3 rails in green zone and 4 rails in blue zone.
