There is a rhombus, whose sides are 20 and one diagonal is 24, what is the area of this rhombus?

All the sides of rhombus are equal. The area of rhombus is 1/2 *diagonal

*diagonal. One diagonal is 24, so half of diadonal is

12. Thefore other half of other diagonal is sqrt(20^2 – 12^2)

=sqrt (400 – 144) =16. Thus area is ½*24*32 = 384 ans.


Area of a rhomus is 24 and its one diagonal is 6, what is the perimeter of this rhombus?

One diagonal is 6, the other is 8. Because ½*6*X = 24, or 3X = 24, or X

=8 Thus one side is equal to Sqrt(3^2+4^2)

thus one side is 5.

Permieter = side *4 = 5*4 = 20 answer.


A rope 66 CM long has been converted into a circle. What is the radius of this circle?

Perimeter or Circumference of the circle is 66 CMs.

Circumference = 2 Pi * R 2Pi R= 66 R = 66 /2 pi OR R = 66 *7 /44 =21/2 = 10.5 answer.


The speed of a bus is 66 KM per hour Diameter of the wheel is 140 CM. How many revolutions per minute does it make? In one hour it travels 66 KM, so in one

minute = 66/60 = 1.1 KM or 1100 meters.

Its circumference is (2Pi R) = 140*22/7 = 440 CMs or 4.4 meters.

Thus the number of revolutions are = 1100/4.4 = 250 revolutions per

minute. Ans.


The number of workers have reduced in the ratio of 15:11, but their wages have increased in the ratio of 22:25, what is the net change in total emoluments?

(15 * 22) = 330 (11*25) = 275. Thus the total payments have reduced in

the ratio : 330:275 66: 55 = 6: 5 answer.


How many 2 digit codes can be made from digits from 0 to 9, with neither 0 nor any odd digit taking tens place?

If repeatition is allowed: we have 10 options for unit place and 4

options for tens place. Thus total options are : 10 * 4 = 40 answer. If repeatition is not allowed, Even at both places: = 4*3 = 12 Even at tens place and remaining digits at

unit place = 4*6 = 24 Total = 12+24 = 36 answer


I took 42 minues on a journey with average speed of 10. Some journey was covered @ 4 Km per hour and some at 25 KM per hour. What was the distance covered with these speeds?

42/60 * 10 = 7 KM Let us try for 2 + 5 =Time is 30

minutes + 12 minutes = 42 Thus I had travelled at 4 KM per hour

for 2 KM and at 25 Km per hour for 5 KM. answer.


In Goti’s car : When 100 liters of fuel is consumed, the expenses is 66000, when 150 liters of fuel is consumed, the expenses are 90000, what is fixed expenses and what expenses will be there when 200 liters are used?

Fixed expenses = X, variable = Y X + 100 Y = 66000 X + 150 Y = 90000 50Y = 24000, or Y = 480; fixed expenses are :

66000-48000 = 18000. Expenses on 200 liters = 18000+96000 =114000


If a:b = 3:4, then what is the value of (2a+3b): (3a+4b)?

Let us put the value of A and B as 3 and 4.

We get : (6+12) : (9+16) 18: 25
