    It takes a lot of patience and diligence to build a house.A brick house, for example, is built one brick at a time, addingthe mortar2 between each brick, and doing this over and overagain until all the walls of the house are completed.

    2 Mortar is a mixture of sand, water, and cement orlime (made from limestone) that becomes hard like

    stone once it dries. Mortar is used in construction tojoin and hold bricks and stones together.
