This is the will of God for you -
your sanctification” (1 Thess 4:3)“Sanctification” means to be “to be made holy”.
Phil 2:12 “continue to work out your salvationwith fear and trembling”
• "Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground" (Exodus 3:5)
• “Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people" (Exodus 33:3)
• “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” (Hebrews 12:28)
• “For our God is a consuming fire” (Heb 12:29)
Isaiah 6: 1-81 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the LORD sitting on a
throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”
4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.”
8 Also I heard the voice of the LORD, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.
V 19 , 21 But as he was standing there raging at the priests before the incense altar in the Lord’s Temple, leprosy suddenly broke out on his forehead. ….. 21 So King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in isolation in a separate house, for he was excluded from the Temple of the LORD.

Look at the angels in the presence of God – they immediately worship!
The effect of God’s holiness on the earth –
Verse 4 The doorposts and thresholds of the temple
shook! And the temple was filled with smoke.
“the God that many people speak of and think of, and sing of today is less interesting than television; His commands less authoritative than their appetites for affluence and influence; His judgements less awe-inspiring than the evening news, and His truth less compelling than the advertisers’ sweet fog of flattery and lies” - David Wells (“the weightlessness of God”)
effect of the holiness of God on Isaiah:
V 5 “Woe to me! I’m ruined (I’m undone, I’ve come apart)..
Isaiah 5:8 Woe to those who join house to house; They add field to field, Till there is no place where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land!11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them! 18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as if with a cart rope;20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,
effect of the holiness of God on Isaiah:

8 Also I heard the voice of the LORD, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
