A fundamental rationale of any Teacher union is to take full advantage of the well-being of its members. In order to achieve this aim, teachers’ unions often activist for higher pay, fewer hours and higher settlement for teachers. Regardless of global acknowledgment of the fact that education is one of the most significant affairs in life, many children lack access to quality education. Quality education starts with honest education policy. In order to develop the quality of education policies, assistance of those working in the ground of education, should be encouraged. A quality basic education equips boys and girls with the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to adopt healthy

Educated adults are more likely to be educated about appropriate child-nurture practices and to ensure that their children begin school on time and are ready to learn.’ No one will dispute the profit of education, but despite the whole acknowledgement, the truth is that 69 million children are missing out on quality education (Global Campaign for Education, 2011). What is the cause of this? Is it due to unfortunate education policy? And then who is guilty for the unfortunate education policy? This research is concerned with the participation of Teachers’ Unions in the education policy making process. This study will explore the Role of the Teachers’ Unions in education policy making and finally to identify the challenges of education policy making directly faced by the Teachers’ Unions.
