Video Presentation Script:

Every year, from March 15th until June 9th, Duck-Hunting Season opens withinVictoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. This year, theOpening of Duck-Hunting Season captured an average media time-slot of 1 and a halfminutes, on only 8 Local and National News-Stations, upon the first day of theseason… and the story never ran, or was followed up upon again.

Men, women, sons and daughters, all take to the populated swamplands, to shoot andkill their allowable 10 birds for the day. Whilst a handful of protesters do what theycan to prevent it, the local news record their stories for night-time airing… and after aminute and a half, nothing is mentioned of this slaughter again for 12 whole months.

On Friday the 15th, the opening day of the 2013, recreational Duck Shooting Season,the Victorian Agricultural Minister, Peter Walsh issued a media-release praising duckshooters on their good behaviour. The Minister’s media-release was blown out of thewater by the following morning with news of a shocking massacre in northwestVictoria, the “Minister’s own Electorate”.

150 shooters had illegally slaughtered 2,000 birds… this included over 200 “freckledducks”, unique to Australia and regarded as one of the 10 “rarest birds in the world”.

The overarching message is that which we have achieved twice before with exceedingsuccess. At the beginning of 2014 we launched the “Save a Sister Campaign’,blanketing television and cinemas, sustained by the online-footprint and print-mediaside with four-famous and respected female public-figures, the likes of MichelleBridges, bringing the plight of “caged hens” to the minds of the public.

We already hold the knowledge, ability and contacts to launch a successful campaign,we utilise the same strategies proven within the mentioned “Make it Possible” and“Save a Sister” Campaigns.

Ducks have a magnificence factor… and to this, as opposed to the strategiespreviously utilised, by both us and the “Coalition Against Duck Hunting”, whereinimages released to garnish support consisted of protestors and corpses. These imagesturned the Australian public off, the complete opposite to which we need to put an endto this shameful sport.

Instead of showing the images of rebellion, murder and death… we attach asegmentation of “beauty” to a ‘Save The Ducks, Flight For Freedom’ Campaign,which we couldn’t with those of pigs and chickens, and yet those Campaigns thrived!

This is our overarching goal… we utilise the advantage which we didn’t hold withinour other Campaigns… the fact that baby ducks are “cute”… and even when theygrow up, some adult species of ducks have the most beautiful, iridescent coloursimaginable.

We show the beauty, innocence, and majestic nature of these wild animals, we relatethem to human-qualities and emotions… and prop up this positioning with celebrity.Just as we have successfully done in the past.

Our communication strategies and objectives are ones to which we have utilisedbefore, and know from experience work. We plan an effective, emotive, marketingcampaign… using positive and inspirational images, supported by that of well-knowncelebrity figures.

We ensure that all communication channels… internal divisions; commissionedagencies; talent; media outlets and government departments have complete andintrinsic knowledge of the campaign.

We blanket social media with the campaign message… and make sure press-releasesand campaign footage is provided to the media for them to run their stories.

The creative-plan is the same as we have used within the past… we hit social mediumforums by setting up web-sites; facebook; instagram and twitter accounts. We launcha televised celebrity campaign with that of commercials and cinema advertisements,as well as banner; online and print-magazine advertisements. Our message is to bringan end to “legalised duck-hunting” within the four States and Territories ofAustralia... We discharge media releases to all major networks; radio and onlinestations, informing of the facts of the repercussions of Duck-Hunting, as well as theendorsement and support for the new leading campaign.

This support is measured through on-line activity… plus we also set up on-linepetitions for people to sign, as a result of our “call to action” to bring the support ofthe public to pressure on the State Government MPs currently turning a blind-eye tothis atrocity. Launched one month prior to the start of Duck-Hunting Season, and runthroughout its period.

We are charged with the safety, protection, and welfare of ALL domestic; farm; andnative animals and it is time we gave this so called “sport”, its due attention.
