SERAPHIM CLIMBS CAREER CHARTS • Redshirt senior Christian Seraphim is set to become Wake Forest’s all-time leader in career singles and doubles victories. • The native of Munich, Germany currently has 102 career singles victories, seventh-most in program history. Cory Parr holds the program record with 114 career wins. • He has also accumulated 99 career doubles victories, second-most in program history. Cory Parr holds the program record with 108 career doubles wins. FRESH FACES • Eight of the 15 players on this year’s roster are new to the program. • In the fall, the Deacs welcomed four freshmen, Bar Botzer, Morgan Dill, Ryan Mueller and Yuval Solomon, as well as a redshirt junior transfer in Julian Zlobinsky (University of Texas). • In January, the team brought in three mid- year enrollees in freshman Rrezart Cungu, grad transfer Ian Dempster (NC State) and redshirt sophomore transfer Eduardo Nava (TCU). DEACS IN THE RANKINGS • The Demon Deacons are ranked No. 1 to begin the season for the first time in program history. The began last year No. 2 in the country before rising to No. 1, the first-ever No. 1 ranking in program history. • Individually, five singles players and two doubles teams are ranked in the latest ITA rankings. • The singles rankings are highlighted by Petros Chrysochos (No. 4) and Skander Mansouri (No. 15), while the pairing teams up to form the No. 4 doubles team in the country. DOUBLES DUO CLAIM FALL TITLE • Competing for the first time ever as doubles partners, Petros Chrysochos and Skander Mansouri claimed the doubles title at the ITA National Fall Championships. • Unseeded, the duo won a total of five matches, with three victories coming over nationally ranked opponents. AT THE HELM • Head Coach Tony Bresky is in his seventh season at the helm of the program. • During his 6+ years, Bresky has led the Demon Deacons to a 134-55 record. His .709 winning percentage is the best in program history and his 134 wins rank as the fourth- most among Wake Forest coaches. • In 2017 Bresky guided the Demon Deacons to the ACC regular season title, a No. 1 national ranking and the top seed in the NCAA Championship, all program firsts.
