POST SHOW REPORT

The first edition of Wine South America ended with a positive balance for the wine sector and consolidated as the main wine fair in the Americas.

About 250 exhibiting brands showed the quality of its wines, sparkling wines and juices to more than 6 thousand visitors from 25 Brazilian states and 16 countries.

It also held hundreds of business meetings through the National and International Buyer Project and promoted around 50 technical content (between lectures and guided tastings), which contributed to the promotion of knowledge about the world of wine.

Wine South America 2019 will take place in the last week of September, in Bento Gonçalves, in parallel with the National Wine Evaluation promoted by the Brazilian Association of Winemaking - ABE.

"The fair was a gateway to our proposal to be seen as a premium family winery, bringing the company closer to foreign buyers, mainly from Russia, Europe, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile," Juarez Valduga - president.

"I see it as a great advantage of the fair the qualified public that visits the stands. Unlike most of the events we participate in, where we present our products to the final consumer, Wine manages to bring together two publics with close knowledge and interests: wines and olive oils. Here we find the ideal environment for partnerships and good business", Luiz Felipe Batalha - director. "Brazil is our number one market, so we came to the fair to promote products that are already on the market. Also, attention was drawn to the access to new opportunities for negotiation with Brazilian coastal states", Sebastian Gonzatto - export manager.

"The fair was fundamental to promote the brand in the Brazilian market, aligning business with buyers of SP, GO, PE, SC, PR and DF", Fernanda Elias - marketing analyst.

BUYER PROJECT



In a partnership between Instituto Brasileiro do Vinho - Ibravin and Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos (Apex-Brasil), Wine South America held 460 international business meetings during the four-day event.

The markets focus for attracting buyers were Peru, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, United Kingdom, United States and China.

INTERNATIONAL BUYER PROJECT



Professional journalists from eight different cities in the country: Porto Alegre, Campinas, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Niterói, Vitória, Fortaleza and Brasilia participated in the Image Project of Wine South America.

The group, in addition to visiting the fair, can visit different wineries located in five municipalities of the Serra Gaúcha (Bento Gonçalves, Pinto Bandeira, Garibaldi, Farroupilha and Flores da Cunha).
