    Fromumble Beginnings

I came from a very stable, secure home. I cameto realize it was only through the grace of God

that I had what I had. That was the impetus

for me to leave Alabama in 1982 and come

to Georgia to start a home for children who

needed a second chance in life.

Why Do Children Come to Eagle Ranch?

Children come to Eagle Ranch when circumstances

make living at home difficult or impossible.

Sometimes this is due to changes in family structure

or custody, poor school performance, behavioral

issues, judicial requirements or other factors that

affect the child and his or her family. The goal is to

identify and work on the sources of crisis, helping

the child heal and return to a restored family.

A ereshing ApproachThe evidence of Eagle Ranchs success is on the faces of the

boys and girls! The people and the surroundings of Eagle

Ranch are refreshing and inspiring. The leadership and

staff demonstrate a strong commitment to quality care

that is individualized for each child and family.

Terence JohnsonDirector of the Office of Provider

    Utilization and Outcome Management,

Georgia Department of Family and Childrens Services

    During their season at Eagle

    Ranch, children are provided

    a home, education and

    counseling. Boys and girls

receive help in every area of

    their lives spiritual,

    emotional, intellectual,

    social and physical.

Eagle Ranch partners withthe entire family through

    counseling and instruction

    so that children are able

    to return to an improved

    home environment.

Theres a saying, Children are the messages

we send to a time that well never see, and thats

the essence of Eagle Ranch. When we affect one

childs life, there is a generational impact. Not only

will that child never be the same, but neither will

    his or her family.

Eagle Ranch provided the environment necessary for

light and water to enter my mind and allow my

talent to sprout and blossom. I thank God for the

Eagle Ranch ministry and what it has done in my life.

    JamesEagle Ranch Graduate

I have never forgotten what I learned at Eagle Ranch.

The traits instilled are ones decent people should hold

dear: faith, humility, generosity, hard work, strong

    moral judgment.

    EliottEagle Ranch Graduate

My housemom, Mrs. Kelly, has helped me through so

many things. She is so easy to talk to. She is so sincere.

She is a great example to me, and I would love to be like

    her one day.

    JordanEagle Ranch Graduate

Until I came to Eagle Ranch, I was not ready to open

up. I thought if I didnt say anything, eventually the

feeling would go away. But those feelings dont go away

unless you work through them. I have come a long way.

I have gotten closer to my family. I actually feel that

they love me, theyre here for me, and they have my back

through everything. I thank God for sending me here.

    LashawnaEagle Ranch Graduate

This unique place serves as a beacon of hope and

inspiration. Eagle Ranch rebuilds lives and restores

families. This success story is synonymous with the

    word perseverance.

    Mike SmithHead Coach, Atlanta Falcons

This ministry is more than about loving these

children. Its a place where grace abounds.

And its by grace that lives are transformed.
