Removal

1Raise the cab.

WARNING

Make sure that the parking brake has been appliedand that neutral gear is selected.

2Remove all electrical power by switching off the mainswitch. Then disconnect the battery’s negative pole.

Remove the separator.

Remove the rocker cover.

Using pliers, remove the control valves.

6Clean the contact surfaces on the JAK unit and on thenew control valves. Blow clean with compressed air.

WARNING

Use suitable protective equipment.

Installation

7Lubricate the control valves with engine oil and insertthem.

Check the rocker cover gasket and replace as necessary.Fit the rocker cover. Torque tighten in accordance withFunction Group 20, Information type Specifications,Specifications.

Install the separator. Check the gasket and replace asnecessary.

10Connect the negative cable and switch on the mainelectrical power.

11Perform a function check and check for possible leakage.Remove any fault codes.

WARNINGMake sure the parking brake has been applied andthat neutral is selected when starting the engine withthe cab raised.

12Lower the cab.
