The main objective of the project was to enhance the visual appearance of the bus stop roof which blends into the natural environment of the park. The metal structure of the roof was too weak to support a traditional green roof and VYDRO ® lightweight green roof system offered the perfect solution. A fully loaded green roof constructed using VYDRO ® substrate typically weighs less than 70kg per square meter, making it far lighter than conventional solutions, which generally exceed 100kg over the same size area.
