Kevin W. Concannon Kevin W. Concannon was nominated by President Obama and Secretary Vilsack and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in July 2009 to serve as Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services in the United States Department of Agri-culture. Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services has principal responsibilities and
funding authority for Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), which serves 1 in 4 Americans, and has lead responsibilities for promoting healthful diet through the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.
Listen as the Under Secretary updates the audience on USDA, FNS and yes, the top CACFP Trend, the New Meal Patterns. It will be all about CACFP Trending.
Joan Frances Moran Joan Moran is a miraculous 70 year old who has made looking, feeling and thinking young her life’s work. An author, speaker and expert on achieving life balance; Joan inspires audiences to lead a healthy life and positive mindset. Boasting over 10 years of experience as a yoga and meditation in-
structor, Joan begins speaking engagements with her trade-mark headstand to showcase her focus and strength. She offers listeners an opportunity to achieve optimal wellness, create stabilizing mental and physical habits and foster resilience as a approach for change. If you have read the Huffington Post you might have read one of Joan’s blogs.
Joan Frances Moran is a bold, Breakthrough Strategist and Transformation Mindset Expert. She knows how difficult and challenging it is to present change in a person’s life. And the theme of CACFP Trending for The Child and Adult Food Care Program means change! With this year's theme, CACFP Trending, Joan will help you analyze your present situa-tion and offer proven techniques that will address the problem of work/life balance. She will inspire and encourage us to stretch our minds and at any age get rid of mental inertia, Joan challenges her audiences to become a change agent for a healthier, happier and a more productive life.
People love their comfort zone in work and in life – old habits die hard – and fear of change produces paralysis in the areas of creativity and innovation in the work place and in life. A less rigid mindset increases productivity and creativity and further encourages excellence and balance in life and in work. Joan will demonstrate how her Mind Fuel Toolkit for Life Renew-al will reduce resistance, embrace change, foster resilience and empower your inner warrior. It’s time to become part of Joan’s next Revolution in Personal Development.

through illustrated examples of how I created food curriculum for cooking with children. As the children plant the seeds and care for the plants they can learn about life cycles, reciprocity, pa-tience, the scientific process, beauty, nature and seasons. As children prepare and cook the veg-etables they have grown they can learn: to hone math skills from simple counting to basic addition and subtraction of fractions; to make simple food science observations and predictions that will be made and tested; to develop an awareness of seasonal produce from the garden; to develop hand-eye coordination as they master basic mixing and measuring skills; to work cooperatively in small groups.
