Table 1 explains the terms shown in Figure 1.

    Table 1 Terms

    Term Explanation

    Classification of object type

On the top level, object types are classified into threecategories: Radio Network Related Measurement, TransportNetwork Related Measurement, Hardware Platform RelatedMeasurement.

Object typeObject types are located at the second level of the documentstructure. One object type contains one or more function subsets.

    Function Subset

Function Subsets are located at the third level of the documentstructure. One function subset contains one or more counters butbelongs to only one object type.

    Counter

Counters are located at the fourth level of the documentstructure.Counters are the basic elements of performance measurement. One counter can belong to only one function subset.

    Counter Item Description

  • Item Description

    Function Set

    FunctionSetName

Name of the function set.One function set contains one or more function subsets.

    Function Subset

Overview Definition of a function subset and the flowchart formeasuring related counters.

Counters Counters contained in a function subset.

    CounterRelationship

A table that lists parent counters and their child counters in atable. Note that the child counters listed in the table cover onlytypical scenarios. That is, some scenarios are not covered byany counter. Therefore, the value of a parent counter is largerthan or equal to the sum of the values of its child counters. Some counters may not be involved in any counterrelationship.

Counter Counter ID A string of digits that uniquely identifies a counter.

Counter Name Name of a counter. It is composed of a string of uppercaseletters, lowercase letters, and dots.

    CounterDescription

A phrase that provides a simple description about a counter.

Description Detailed description about a counter.

    MeasurementPoint

    Condition for triggering counter measurement.

    Formula Relationship among counters.

    Unit Unit of a counter.

Related Features Features related to a counter are listed in feature ID and featurename. A counter is used to estimate related features. Relatedfeatures are listed as follows in different scenarios:l If a counter has no related features, no features are listed.l A counter has related features,

If this counter applies only to GSM, UMTS, LTE, orSingleRAN, the features are related to such RAT.

If this counter applies to multiple RATs in GSM,UMTS, LTE, and SingleRAN, the features are a set offeatures related to all associated RATs. Only thefeature IDs and feature names of the features for relatedRATs are listed.

Original Release The number of version for which the counter was firstavailable.

Network Element Name of the NE to which the counter applies.
