Dr Rami Sweiss: Consultant in Upper GI Medicine and Upper GI Physiology Lead at University College London Hospital, and also an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at University College London.Research: focused on advancing the methodology and utility of the technology used to investigate reflux and swallowing disorders. Member of the International High Resolution Manometry Working Group. Member of the Neurogastroenterology & Motility Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology and Clinical Representative for the Association of GI Physiologists (AGIP) Committee. As a member of the Upper GI Endoscopy team at UCH, he has a particular interest in investigating and managing complex benign and malignant upper GI disorders such as Achalasia (including POEM), Barrett’s oesophagus  (chromoendoscopy as well as Radio-frequency Ablation and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection) and cancer (dilatation, stent and laser).

Mr Stephen E AttwoodHonorary Professor, Health Services Research Centre, Durham University, Consultant Gastro-Intestinal Surgeon, Upper GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Northumbria Healthcare Trust, Secretary Oesophageal Section of BSG, NICE advisor on Interventional Devices in Gastroenterology. Clinical Provision : Diagnosis, and minimally invasive treatment for Upper Gastrointestinal disorders, involving endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery and oesophageal physiology laboratory. Research : UK Chief Investigator : Phase 3 clinical trial for Eosinophilic Oesophagitis, Chairman of Trial Steering Committee: BRIDE, a multi centre UK trial on Ablation of early cancer in Barrett’s oesophagus, Chairman of Data Monitoring Committee : Endobarrier, a UK study of endoscopic antiobesity therapy, Trial Management : ASPECT trial of cancer prevention in Barrett’s Oesophagus , and The LOTUS Trial.
