lam pleased io bear testimony to Prof. Dr. B. Annadurai, who has been working as Professor of

Biotechnology in the Department of Crop and Horticultural sciences under the College of Dryland

Agricultr:re and Natural Resources of Mekelle University for the past two academic years (2010-12)

During this period of his contract with our University Prof. Dr. Annadurar acted as the Course Director for

Various courses for Agronomy, Horticulture, Biotechnology and Food Technology and M Sc Agronomy

students He taught Tissue culture Technology Crop Biodiversity and Management, Plant Physiology,

Food safety for Horticultural crops courses for Agronomy and Horiiculture Students. Advance Physiology

for M.Sc Agronomy Classes. He has been Teaching Cell Biology, Plant Physiology, Microbiology

Enzymology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Germplasm, lmmunology and lmmunodiagnostics,

Molecular Genetics, Biochemical methods and lnstrumentations for Brotechnology students and

lntroduction to Food Science and Technology Fermentation Technology, Food Enzymology and Sugar,

Honey and Confectionary Technology to Food Technology students. He has conducied the course with

the iatest Audro and Visual Aids & technrques His power point presentations and handouts have been

received with great appreciation by the students and faculty alike. His evaluation methods in ranking and

grading students by assignments, yiya voce, project work, laboratory visits have been valued highly He

has developed the Biotechnology laboratory and makes ii functional to conduct DNA isolatton and

purification, lmmunology and immunotechnology practical, Food Enzymology Practicals This was

telecasted in Ethiopian TV also During this term he published more than Ten research papers in

internaiional journals. He has designed the new curricLilum for $lasters Degree in Bio Technclcoy for

Menelle university During the tenure of Prof. Dr. Annadurai, we have seen an explosion of innovative

ideas, both in teaching and research. He has been of great help in other efforts of our University

colleagues. In addition to Teaching and Research activities in Bio Technology, he has shown leadership

qualities in other spheres of activity, creative ideas, and social activities, which have motivated all other

people that mattered.

It has been a joy to work with Prof. Dr. Annadurai, who is a take-charge person, who is consistently

pleasant, and who tackles all assignments with application and dedication, I highly recommend him fcr

research assignments vis-d-vis employment opportunities for which he would be staking his claims in

times to come.
