Inverness West Link Stage 2 RJ McLeod (Contractors) Ltd Inverness West Link Stage 2 November 2019 Update Inverness West Link Stage 2 – November 2019 Update Progress Works continue to progress well across the site. Road surfacing commenced on the 5 th November, the access to the canal and roundabout were prioritised to allow it to open for the Regatta on the 9 th and 10 th November. Tow path diversions and temporary car parking for the rowing club were also installed. The sheet piling to the new wharf commenced on the 10 th November using an 80 tonne piling rig with a vibrating hammer. The canal was closed on the 18 th November which allowed the installation of coffer dams at the extents of the bridge and wharf and the installation of pipelines and pumps for the over-pumping operation. There is a requirement to keep the canal downstream topped up, this requires750litres/second pumped between the upstream and downstream dams. Planned Works The planned works for the next month will consist of: Piling of East and West abutments Dewatering of the canal Concrete tie wall and anchors Deep drainage across A82 Duct installation across the canal Driving sheet piles on wharf

Progress

Works continue to progress well across the site.
