Primary duty of in port watch section is to

ensure the safety and security of the ship

Command Duty Officer (CDO)

The Command Duty Officer in port is that

officer or authorized Petty Officer

designated by the Commanding Officer tocarry out the routine of the unit in port and

to supervise the Officer of the Deck in the

safety and general duties of the unit. In thetemporary absence of the Executive Officer,

the duties of the Executive Officer will be

carried out by the Command Duty Officer.

Officer-in-charge of the entire in port duty section

for 24 hour periodset the tone for the performance of the duty

section

conducts frequent inspections and drills Responsible for the safety and security of the

entire ship

ship, in search of fire, flooding, or security
