Command Duty Officer (CDO)
The Command Duty Officer in port is that
officer or authorized Petty Officer
designated by the Commanding Officer tocarry out the routine of the unit in port and
to supervise the Officer of the Deck in the
safety and general duties of the unit. In thetemporary absence of the Executive Officer,
the duties of the Executive Officer will be
carried out by the Command Duty Officer.
