storage fac i l i t ies . The Ube Cool LiquefClctioD Company (Mission Number

283) contains build ings o f rcin1'orced concrete and flood frame type,

a l l of which Ore Sm'3.l1 in plan areel. The use of larger s ize bor.lbs

,,"auld prove most effective against the concrete s t ructures , but "auld

not permit maximum tonnage to be carried and would blso decrease thenumber of direct hi ts . I t was believed, i n s el ec ti ng the 500-pound

bomb, that this bomb ';7ould be capable of destroying the 't7ood frame

structures and also nould seriously damage the reinforced ins ta l la t -
