have helped and supported us.

Special thanks to our supervisor Er. Deel Mani Baral for his great

support who has constantly supported and guided us to the completion

of this project. We can’t remain silent for the support of Mr. Ramesh

Kunwar who constantly acted as a guide for this project on each and

every moment we are thankful to him as well.

Abstract

This project is a real life project which can be put on the web server either local or World

Wide Web (www) in order to access it. The project can be used as Intranet basis as well

as Internet basis as per the requirement.

The requirements for the project are Apache Server, MySQL, Dreamweaver,

photoshop for the design purpose(static). We used WAMP server which comes with

packed version of both Apache and MySQL Admin.

There are still some further enhancements which can’t be put forward in shortage

of time for example, trekking packages, holiday packages and online ticketing without

visiting the office.

The application of this project is targeted to the Travel Agency which is the

growing industry in the present context of our country.

BACKGROUND

Travelling is a very common word for every people today. Travelling is not only hobby

for some people but it is a must of adventure for most of the people today. Travelling is

done for various reasons some people visit places to gain knowledge and other visit

places for refreshment and to enjoy the vacation.

Finding the best working agency for the complete package is really a tough time.

As it needs a lot of time to roam to different agencies and search for the best one, it

becomes infeasible for people ..Inorder to fulfil these defects our project is based on

webpage where the user can book rooms or flight tickets from the comfort of their home

using the internet. In today’s world, time is of great value so it is desirable to save the

time and make maximum utilization of it. It would be great utilization of time if one

could do all their planning and bookings in less amount of time.

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

The project “ Lord Buddha Travel Agency” is the web based travel agency. This

project ‘Lord Buddha Travel Agency’ is a real life project which can be put on the

webserver either local or World Wide Web (www) in order to access it.

The application of this project is targeted to the Travel Agency which is the growing

industry in the present context.

This project “Lord Buddha Travel Agency” is a project that is intended to reserve

the flight tickets and hotels rooms. The project is carried out through a website where the

client can browse and reserve the flights and tickets after they register.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

This project on “Travel Agency Management system” is projected to make the travel of

the people easy. The people of the world can book the ticket of the flight from anywhere

around the world through Internet. The clients can choose rooms in the hotels they desire.

The clients can get information about the flights. This project helps in the management of

the software applicable to the tours and Travel agency.

This project hopes to serve the clients with full efficiency as it saves their time and

money. Smooth running of the project is advantageous to the Travel Agencies

OBJECTIVES

The objective of this project is to build an interactive web site to

replace file based database making it easier for its client and staff to

find information required efficiently.

The aim of this project is make user friendly and informative web

base application.

This project is aimed to reach the following goals

User friendly interface for the client, staff.

Clients can browse through different range of rooms, availability,

type of room, range of flight, type of flight, availability

Staff can communicate with client and private owner through

medium like email.

Problem Statement

Booking the ticket is a tedious job if the client has not choosen the right agency.

The client has to go to many places to find the right travel agency, if the client has

no idea about the place where he is travelling then he might be in lot of trouble

which the client might not want to face.

To overcome this we have designed this web based application in which the

client can get information and book the tickets of the desired flights and also

reserve the rooms in the hotels according to the need of the clients.

METHODOLOGY

The idea of the project is simple and straightforward. A combination of database, web

page and form, will be use to construct this project. SQL Server will be used for storing

the database and for online reservation, SQL Server has good environment for database

and is widely in use. Networking is very simple to implement in SQL. Webpage and form

will be built with the help of PHP. It has user friendly environment where we can drag

and drop the item needed for the development of webpage and form directly from the tool

bar. This helps to minimize the time for the completion of the project. The library

function provided in SQL and PHP will be helpful for coding the program.

For the completion of any projects, there is a requirement of the several components;

hardware and software. Likewise to carry out project ” Lord Buddha Travel Agency”

Our Travel Agency Management System is designed to give an efficient and prompt

service to the clients all over the world. It will have the useful features as follows.

This project will record information about occupied and vacant flights and rooms in

the hotel.

This project provides the actual amount of the flight.

This project the record of all the customers for the future purpose.

This project facilitates online booking

Limitation

The limitations are as follows:

The client cannot book more than one room or flight at a time.

This project is use with small database.

This project is just an static website.

Customers cannot pay through credit card.

Future Enhancement

Further works can be done on the website like

Including tour package,

Holiday package ,

Making some interactive pages where client can register directly.

Transaction through credit cards.

“Lord Buddha Travel Agency” is perfectly suited to travel and tours who

are using file based system. Totally new concept for admin and client and
