The Glen Donald Building, circa 1923, is located just west of downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the MacArthur Park/Westlake district. Location
The MacArthur Park/Westlake district was one of the first areas of Los Angeles west of Figueroa Street to see residential development. By the 1920s this area resembled the Upper East Side of Manhattan; still today interspersed on many side streets are preserved mansions and whispers of a bygone era. One thing is certain: the area west of downtown, south of 6th Street, north of Olympic Blvd. and east of Koreatown is home to a vibrant community.
