Alcoholism:

For these conditions may be overcome with this body if the entity will turn first tothe spiritual self, and seek spiritual aid and guidance from within; then put self IN an

institution where all these phases of such experiences are understood and application

made for the REMOVAL of the [spinal] pressures.If the entity's mental self then KEEPS the seeking to the Christ-love, the Christ-

spirit, there WILL be the abilities to remove those things that have so easily beset the

body.Know this first and foremost: ALL HEALING of any nature must be of God; for

God (in Christ, to man) alone is life, is health, is good; and when applications are made ofmechanical means, electrical means, the vibratory influences of medication or what not,

the GOOD is the manifestation of Creative Forces or God!

Just as the blush of the rose, the beauty of the sunset, the dew upon the grass, thebeauty of love - all are to man's understanding, to man's spiritual self - upon the spiritual

portion of man's mind - a manifestation of God, that Creative Force, that everlasting Life.

Life alone is eternal because it is of God; and only in Him may it beRIGHTFULLY sought!

The Spiritual Approach to Treating Specific Ailments

Each soul, each entity - as was given from the beginning - should gain this, as in relation

to the activity of spirit through bodily forces:

Is there more of God or Life in a brainy individual adult than in the babe without ANY

direction whatsoever? IS there?

It is then a growing condition.

The body with a broken structural condition will heal, but unless it is mechanically set in

proper accord it will NOT set of itself!

The manifestation of spirit in materiality is to use WHAT IT HAS and to do the best it

can with same!

But the PHYSICAL is to use cooperative natures; cooperating with nature, cooperating

with spirit, cooperating with mind, to make for that which will be the WHOLE!

For what is the first law? The Lord thy God is ONE!

There is, then, the necessity of understanding and interpreting the law of matter - or causeand effect - as related to the mental and spiritual expressions in matter.

As has been given of old, when there are disturbing or harmful or detrimental influences,

there is error at the base or the cause of same.

For ever does that injunction stand, as the promises of the divine forces in the experience

of man, that Whatsoever ye sow, that must ye also reap.

Just as sure as it was said that he that breaketh the law in the least jot or tittle is guilty of

all.

Now, while conditions are rather serious, they are long standing, and the condition has

become progressive, - we find that, with a great deal of care and patience, and(continued on the next page)

persistence, the body MAY be able to care for itself - and to engage in activities that

would be more in keeping with its purposes for its entering this material plane.

First, the attitudes of the body must be considered. While at times there have been hopes,

these have gradually faded; and the body has at many times become very antagonistic to

all that would pertain to a spiritual or mental attitude that would be helpful.

Resignation to the conditions does not necessarily mean patience on the part of the body.

Know, deep within self, that God is not mocked. And while to self in the present these

conditions may not appear to be results of thine own self, - whose body is afflicted? Thybody is indeed the temple of the living God. What manner of worship hast gone on, then,

in the REAL body? Not the physical being, that at present is hindered by pathological

conditions, illnesses, lack of the ability of locomotion, lack of the activity of the organs

that function to bring the physical conditions for carrying on, and the ability to reproducethemselves in themselves.

For, each anatomical structure, each atom, each vibration of each organ, must be able torebuild itself - if there will be the returning of the elements for its recuperation to anyextent. There must be created, - in mind, in purpose, in body, - those influences and

forces that will resuscitate life itself in each cellular unit of the body.

These activities must begin within self as for a purpose, as for hope, as for desire. Not as

boastful, not as egotistical, but that each word, each act, each hope, each element of

activity, is to be selfless and unto the glory of Creative Forces, or God.

If this, then, becomes to the body as but sounding brass, forget it!

But know, He IS the Giver of life. He IS life, in thee. And if there is the seeking, if thereis the belief, if there is the ACTING - in mind, in body - to SUBDUE the earth, thematerial disturbances - there may be added many days yet of a USEFUL service in the

vineyard of thy Maker, to the glory of thy Brother, the Christ; who gave Himself that ye

might have intercession with the Father, through just such circumstances in body andmind as has overtaken thee in the present.

That is the beginning, then; thy attitude.

In the physical, then, we have many changes that are to be wrought. Many of those

things that have become dormant are to become active again, through the limbs, through

the nerves, through the activities of the organs to coordinate with the life plasm itself thatkeeps the body-entity alive, that makes the body even aware - not only of its physicaldisability but of regrets, the feelings of imposition upon the activities and the goodness

and the grace and the mercy and the love of those FOR whom the body finds it would

like to do, itself.

How, then, may the physical applications be brought about? These will require that there

be daily attention, not only to this attitude that has been indicated.

And search ye the scriptures daily. For in them ye have promises that are THINE! In

them ye have hope. In them ye have the promise of life, of eternal life, of the water of

life, of the bread of life, that makes man free; free here and now - of disease, ofdisturbance in the various centers of those conditions where the lack of the activity of the

liver in itself has taken from the body-forces those influences that will add to the nerve

and muscular forces of the body the stamina, the strength.

But these are present in the earth through the application, then, in love, in patience, in

persistence, in USING that thou hast daily in hand, and the next step may be given thee.

Begin with these: [specific physical recommendations given] .

And, most of all, keep that attitude indicated. And study the Book - to show thyselfapproved unto Him.

Pray daily; not for self, but to be used as a channel of manifestation of the mercy of God;that ye may glorify Him - not man, not others, but glorify God as manifested in theChrist.

Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions for this body in the present, to be sure thesewill require patience and persistence; but this may be done by those about the body.Prayer, meditation, sincere desire, and the APPLICATION not as rote - that it is told thee

to do - but with the expectancy in the heart as the applications are made, that there willcome to this body the opportunity, the privilege, of its being more and more capable,more and more able to function the nearer normal in its physical activities.

(Q) Please outline a sample diet.(A) Has it not been given that this should be studied by those that are to give it? They

must do something themselves! As indicated, if the treatment is given as ROTE -

because it's told to be done, how much may be expected? Not a very great deal. Someaid, yes; but do all with that EXPECTANCY of that which is desired to be accomplishedin this body - and it will come to pass.

(Q) Give a prayer for meditation that would be helpful.(A) As the massage is given; not as rote, but as from the heart and from the soul:FATHER, LET THAT BE DONE IN THIS BODY THAT THOU SEEST IT HAS

NEED OF, FOR ITS BEST MENTAL AND SOUL DEVELOPMENT, IN CHRIST

Let those that minister know that all healing, all force and power comes from the Infinite;that these influences and powers that work in and through them, in making the

application, can, will, through those promises He has given, manifest health, strength,

(Q) Will it be possible for him to become active again, after seven years of inactivity?

(A) If there is the prayerful attitude, the consistent application, the full trust put in the

SOURCES of light, life and GOOD - this may come about! According to thy faith, be it

unto you.

Read the twentieth of Exodus. Know that the promises are thine - not of old but today!

Read the admonitions in the thirtieth of Deuteronomy. KNOW that He is within thineown purposes - if ye will but put your trust in HIM! [Paralysis]

As has been given, this will require - from the physical viewpoint - patience, persistence,

on the part of the body and those that would administer those things, those outsideelements of the physical, and that there may be added those incentives for the creation of- first - absorption of those affectations, and then the gradual growth of same, that there

may be more response and reflex action in that portion of the physical body so affected;and there will be the necessity of the spiritual activity upon the applying of the treatmentsfor the physical and the reactions in same, as well as upon the part of the body, to that

consciousness that may see - in an imaginative first, in a subconscious second, in a

CONSCIOUSNESS third - the physical conditions taking place in the body.

As has been given, those things that would apply to the advent into the physical

experience in the present would be of interest AND aid to the body, AS this developingand awakening takes place.

In the mental applications there should be those things carried in the mental mind of the

body of one making the application. This as an affirmation, or prayer, or meditation,during the whole period:

THERE IS BEING CARRIED INTO MY PHYSICAL BODY THAT WHICH WILL

AID IN ENLIVENING TISSUE, THAT I MAY EXERCISE THE FACULTIES OF MYBODY THE BETTER. THIS BEING CARRIED THROUGH CREATIVE FORCES AS

(Q) Will there be a toe drag in the left foot?(A) If that's what is desired, if that's what is being sought, there will be! If there is being

sought, if there is being expected a COMPLETE RECOVERY, it will come - if there will

be done that as indicated!

(Q) Any spiritual advice?

(A) Keep that same constructive attitude; not only being good but good FOR something.

Let each thankfulness be made toward the applying of that received in aid to others.

Let the prayer oft be:

In the mental and spiritual attitude, let the prayer of the body be, - not merely in wordsbut in the deeper feeling, put into the own words:

FATHER, GOD! IN THY LOVE, IN THY MERCY, REMEMBER THOU THY

SERVANT, AS SHE SEEKS TO KNOW THY FACE AND THY WAY WITH ME.USE THOU, O GOD, MY POWER OF DISCERNMENT, MY ABILITIES IN THEEARTH, IN THY SERVICE. BE THOU, O GOD, THE STRENGTH, THE HELP,

JUST NOW.

(Q) May these treatments be carried out better in any place other than in the home?

(A) Better in the home, for these need to be given not merely that they may be gotten

through with - that is, the rubs and the vibrations from the Appliance, and all of theadministrations but with love and care. For, all must be kept in that attitude of a search

for HIS purpose with each.

And let all know that as they minister, in love, in care, for one of His children, Hispurpose with them - too - is for good. [Parkinsons Disease]

Alcoholism

EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, the conditions physical and mental, of[1427].

In giving that as we find would be helpful, both the physical and the mental attitudes - as

well as conditions - must be considered.

And if there is the DESIRE on the part of the entity, the body, to rid self of the

disturbances, this may be done - provided the trust, the hope is put in the proper place;

and then worked at.

In most respects we find the body-physical is very good, near to normal from outward

appearance and from activities within; yet there ARE evidences of a weakness in thePHYSICAL body through the desire for GRATIFYING of appetite that has blocked the

will of the mental forces by gratifying of a physical desire for the emotions of a mental

and physical experience; thus becoming a destructive influence to the physical and the

mental body.

Then, how have these activities so worked, so manifested themselves upon the physical

as to deplete that resistance which should manifest itself in a physically, materially,WELL body?

In the gratifying of a desire, these become habit-forming; in the manner of the effect then

of the drug and the effects of alcohol upon the system weakening the will and thusweakening the coordination between the manifestation of spiritual truth with material

gratification of flesh desires.

These we find manifest themselves upon the nervous system of the body, and give

expressions in the nerve system between the cerebrospinal AND the vegetative or

sympathetic nerve system.

Hence from the continual gratifying of an emotion or desire for those things that dull or

subdue, or put aside the effects of a mental reaction, we find that physically there arepressures that exist in the ganglia of the upper dorsal and through the cervical areas, that

magnify then the desire for gratifying upon the cardiac and the secondary cardiac system.

Thus the craving, the gnawing in the gastric forces of the digestive system - or the liver

and heart activity in its ganglia - makes for the INORDINATE DESIRE!

So the body becomes physically overcome by the mental anguish produced by DESIRE

upon the system.

Hence we find not only are there the effects of the desire but these are magnified by

associations, by environs; and there is then - in the nervous system, through those

pressures and in those areas indicated - the longing for gratification.

This then becomes the source and the very nature of the disturbances to be met.

How, then, may they be met?

The applications heretofore for the correction of these desires have been constantly

surrounded by those that make for the same character of impressions upon the mental selfas FIRST induced or caused the habit to become a part of the mental and physical body.

Then, WE would give that not only must the body-mind turn to the spiritual promises that

are a part of its mental and spiritual self, but the environment must be changed; so thatthe spiritual promises may be put to active service and work to replace the habits with the

habits of doing GOOD, doing right, doing justice, being merciful.

These are naturally a part of the whole of the entity's self, and the harm comes to selffrom only anxiety, shame and inordinate desires from those about the entity.

DO NOT - those, then, about the entity - CONDEMN; lest a worse fate befall thee!

For these conditions may be overcome with this body if the entity will turn first to the

spiritual self, and seek spiritual aid and guidance from within; then put self IN an

institution where all these phases of such experiences are understood and applicationmade for the REMOVAL of the pressures.

If the entity's mental self then KEEPS the seeking to the Christ-love, the Christ-spirit,there WILL be the abilities to remove those things that have so easily beset the body.

Know this first and foremost: ALL HEALING of any nature must be of God; for God (in

Do not attempt to do one portion of the treatment without the other. If the body doesn'tmake up its MIND to give God an opportunity, through an honest, sincere trial in themanners indicated, then it will be as He indicated, of those who would offend one of the

little ones.

Ye have the opportunity, ye have those surroundings, ye have those opportunities for

making and becoming that which has been thy desire, thy hope. Give God a chance withthy soul. For He hath not willed that any soul should perish, but hath with every

temptation prepared a way, a manner. For as His promise has been, If ye call, I will

HEAR! and will answer speedily.

Forsake not that which is set before thee. Make thy paths straight. Ye CAN in Him.

And when this has been accomplished, within the next six to ten months, there will beways opened for thee to carry on in thy associations, thy activities with thy fellow man,

that will bring harmony and truth in thy life, thy home, thy associations.

(Q) Can those assisting do anything to prevent the body from indulging in stimulants?

(A) They can pray like the devil!

And this is not a blasphemous statement, as it may appear - to some. For if there is anybusier body, with those influences that have to do with the spirit of indulgence of any

nature, than that ye call satan or the devil, who is it?

Then it behooves those who have the interest of such a body at heart to not only pray for

him but WITH him; and in just as earnest, just as sincere, just as continuous a manner as

the spirit of ANY indulgence works upon those who have become subject to suchinfluences either through physical, mental or material conditions!

For the POWER of prayer is NOT met even by satan or the devil himself.

Hence with that attitude of being as persistent as the desire for indulgence, or aspersistent as the devil, ye will find ye will bring a strength. But if ye do so doubting, ye

are already half lost.

For the DESIRES of the body are to do RIGHT! Then aid those desires in the rightdirection; for the power of right EXCEEDS - ever and always.

Do that, then.

Like the devil himself - PRAY!

(Q) Is it believed that there is any inclination in the body here to cooperate and correctthese conditions?

(A) As just given, it is NOT the real DESIRE of the body to commit self to the

inclinations. There IS the desire, then, to cooperate.

Hence there has been given the way to overcome - through the PHYSICAL manner, the

MENTAL manner; and the ATTITUDES.

Then let the body cooperate by putting behind self those things that easily beset. And

look - LOOK - to the strength and the power of the Christ-Consciousness - the light

WITHIN; and be able to say NO! - and mean it!

HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me theconditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also

the treatment for the cure of this body especially in reference to his strong desire for

drink. You will answer the questions which I will ask.

EC: Yes, we have the body here, [486].

Now, as we find, there have been those conditions that have disturbed the better physicalforces of the body. These in the form of poisons have affected the digestive system, and

with the addition of the things to allay the disorder there has been brought about the

desire in the body for, and the use of, those things or conditions that would allay the pain.And there has been made the desire to keep from such a pain until the PAIN and thedesire, bringing their fruits, have made for this inordinate desire for drink - until the

condition has reached such as may be termed possessed with the spirit of both rum AND

the sedatives to keep the satisfying of these influences.

The poisons that distress the muscular forces of the body physically, that have made for

that which has been called neurotic or neuritis in the extremities, (continued on next page)

arise from a prolapsus in the colon area. This is from a strain in the early portion of the

life that, had it been brought to normalcy when the body was developing - or when those

conditions were in a position before the system had adjusted itself, would have been easy.In the present it will require time, patience, persistence, and the character of adjustments

and treatments that will be applications from within, with the high enemas or colonic

irrigations, and with the proper adjustments in the cerebrospinal system as to not onlybreak up the lesions that have been formed, but to make for sufficient vitality stored insystem to maintain the position for the transverse and the ascending colon.

In meeting the needs of the conditions in the present, as we find, it will require not only adesire for the awakening of forces within self that may combat evil influences in the inner

life, but the maintaining of those conditions in the body for the period that will allow

PHYSICALLY the spiritual forces to exert themselves.

Either, then, through applications of subjugating the conscious mind through hypnosis or

through those treatments that may be accorded in those places where both drink AND

sedatives may be taken FROM the body in such a manner that will allow the physical toexert itself. For, unless there is the arousing, under such conditions, for the WILL of thebody to maintain, to gain control, LITTLE may be accomplished.

The Willett Institution in Nashville [Tennessee] is the better, the more appropriate for thisparticular body, as we find, to undertake; or that maintained in Macon - the Still-Hildreth

Institution, [Still-Hildreth Osteopathic Sanatorium, Macon, Mo.] where there would not

only be the correction of the desire but also the correction of the physical condition in the

digestive system and the breaking up of those conditions that have disturbed the body-physical. We would make the effort through these channels.

Ready for questions.

(Q) Is it possible for his wife or mother to do anything to help him be relieved of this

condition?

(A) Only in aiding or in persuading or insisting that this application be made.

(Q) Over what area should the osteopathic treatments be given to relieve the colon

condition?(A) First, as will be seen in the institution, there will be the cleansing of the system; notonly of the poisons by the irrigations but by the diet and by the manner in which there

would be the applications for the relief of the PHYSICAL desire in the body itself. Then

the MANIPULATIONS would extend from corrections in the 8th and 9th dorsal to thelower lumbar area and sacral area; of course, keeping the alignments in the upper cervicalbut the corrections in the upper dorsal and lumbar area.

As may be well gained by many, habit and desires are akin. Habit, however, is a physicalreaction to the senses of the body, while desire is both mental, physical AND spiritual,

and when INORDINATE desire has been created by the use of those forces that make for

the activities in all the sensory forces of the body, it becomes as the possession of those

forces from without and from within that create, without the cleansing influence of the

spiritual entering in from without, that which is hard to cope with.

WE would prefer the Still-Hildreth. Costs more, but the whole correction would be for

body-physical, body-mental, and the opportunity for the will to be so acted upon by the

associations and surroundings - though, for the moment, it may be corrected through thepurely PHYSICAL in Willett's.

(Q) Does he use dope at this time?

(A) As indicated.

(Q) Any other suggestions for the body or for the family?

(A) Pray ye that ye enter not into such temptation so aroused within selves and in those

surroundings of selves, that there may come the cleansing influence which may onlycome in making self and selves' life in keeping with the influences of the Christ-

Consciousness within; knowing that the powers that be are within His force to use as is

for the better development for the soul forces of each individual. Trust in Him, yet - asHe has given - If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments. If ye love Him, thenshow forth in that which is known that may aid in bringing for this soul the opportunity

for its regeneration in this experience, that there may not be those forces that would

CONDEMN thyself or him.

We are through.

(Q) Is there any chance of him ever overcoming the drinking habit?(A) Not if there's given the least excuse for his continuation in same!

But kindness, gentleness and prayer has saved many a soul!

(Q) What causes him to lose control of himself?

(A) Possession!

(Q) Is there any way I can help him?(A) Kindness, gentleness and prayer. These offer the channels through which the greater

help may come at this

time. So live, so act in self that there are NOT regrets!

Arthritis

In giving that as may be helpful for this body, we find that many things must be takeninto consideration.

While there is the attempt at times for the entity or body to seek spiritual influences, these- spiritual forces - those tenets and truths - are not merely as laws or cloaks that may be

put on and taken off.

For, as indicated, there are physical disturbances in the body. To be sure, these may behealed by divine forces. But, as given by Him who is the law, who is the healer of ALL

disease, He that saith he loveth the Lord and hateth his brother is a liar and the truth is

not in him.

He that loveth not then the ways of the Lord - not merely as applied to self but as self

may apply to those the body meets day by day - need not expect the law of grace to be

effective in his experience. Ye cannot hate, or doubt, or fear those things about self, orthose things that would be used by others, and expect the law of love to be effective in

thee. For, the condemnation of self in others falls on self! And, as the entity will and

does find, as the psalmist gave, That which I hated has come upon me.

Then there is little need for attempting to heal an ill body unless the mind, the purpose,

the ideal of the entity is set in Him who is peace, life, hope and understanding. For He is

indeed the way and the truth and the light.

If the entity will apply in self that it KNOWS to do - not as something that applies to self

alone, but that applies to self in its relationships to others - the results will be apparent.Ye APPLY thy love, if ye would have others love thee! Ye do trust others and ye ARE

the trust and the hope, if ye would have hope or expect others to have hope and trust in

thee!

For as ye know, as ye interpret in thine own experience, as in the life of Him who -

though without fault - was hated of others. If the world hate me, it does and it will hatethee. But if ye hate the world, if ye dislike those with whom ye are associated, then HIS

death, His love, His promise becomes of none effect in thee!

For the WORLD hath hated Him without a cause. Ye feel within thyself that ye are

distrusted, that ye are hated without a cause. But if ye do the same in return, His promisebecomes of none effect in thee - ye are of the world and not of Him.

In thy body, - ye find body, mind, soul; or the spiritual, mental and material body. The

misapplication of truth in thy mind, in not interpreting the spirit in self, may - as in thine

own experience - bring the lack of proper elimination of drosses from thy body.

It is true that ye may in the spiritual, in the mental, in the material, make applications of

that cleansing that may aid the body in eliminating same from the physical, from themental, from the spiritual. The spirit is ever willing, and it remains the same yesterday,today and forever. For it is the eternal spiritual law.

First, then, the mental attitude towards self, towards the world, towards others, must bechanged. For, if ye recognize in self the truth, that which is and was manifested in the

Christ-Consciousness, ye will change thy mental attitude - towards self, towards others,

towards conditions about thee. THEN ye may see change in the physical results or

manifestations in self. Then ye, too, as He gave of old, will wash and be clean everywhit!

For as the tendons, muscles in the extremities have become leadened, as it were, with theeffect of drosses in the body, - if the mental attitude is changed towards those things thathinder physically, - we would then begin with these: [recommendations given].

In the diets, do include daily the raw vegetables. This is nature's way of keeping the bodyclean.

But begin with the self, the mind - and these done, we will bring better influences, better

forces about the body.


(Q) Should the series of Atomidine and Epsom Baths be repeated?(A) If there is not the entire elimination. Just as breaking self from any other habit, - if ye

break over, try again! In the try, help will come. In the application there may be

established the knowledge of the truth and the way, and help may come physically,mentally, spiritually. For, if ye know the truth - and apply it not, it is sin. And if sin lies

at thy door, can ye have peace with self or with others?

This would be the manner then of the attitude, that the will of the Father may be done.For he knoweth what each hath need of, even before we ask; but by the attuning of thevital forces of the body by those energizing experiences of the metals in the Radio-Active

meditation and prayer create that vibration, the emotions so that the influences that maybe applied externally, internally, through the diet, through all portions of the activities,

may bring coordination, cooperation in the physical forces of the body.

The body has not yet recuperated from the effect of anesthesia - or the shock to thesystem. And unless there is a great deal of praying done, he won't be much better.

The conditions to be met are of such natures that operative measures may again be

necessary, yet these we do not find as being very helpful.

A gentle massage to quiet the body would be well, with prayer - and not by those who do

not live what they pray. Do not merely pray that he will be well, but well for what? Do

not pray for the body to be well for what the body can do for self but for those whom hehas aided and also hindered.

The use of the Ultra-Violet with the green light would be helpful, but prayer is neededmost. The massage will only quiet the body. Sedatives will have to be used at times.

Much depends upon keeping the body desirous of regaining health, and not making

promises or vows he wouldn't keep if these helpful forces were aroused to activity.

As to the attitudes of those that wait upon the body - as to the attitudes of those to whom

the body is near and dear in material things:

Much might be said respecting the necessity of not only confidence in the activities of

those in charge but respecting the greater relying upon the spiritual forces that lend

impetus to influences and forces about a living organism; and the re-dedicating of self tothe spiritual activities, to those influences that arise from Creative Energies or God-force

and influence in the experience of every one. These we would adhere to, for those

assurances that have been given - as not willing that any soul shall perish but with each

temptation, with each weakness, there is the assurance of strength - if there is theapplication of self in consecration of the efforts in material things.

Meditate, then, and leave it in the hands of Him.

While there is the expression of life there is hope, but here it has been abandoned by

those who might make administrations - for the lack of full comprehension.

We find that prayer, deep meditation, may HOLD together the body and soul, if it is so

desired by those close in body and mind to the entity.

There might be material administrations that would ease, which in a manner is attemptingto be accomplished through the sedatives. These cannot hold very long.

The administrations we would suggest would necessarily be life destructive, lifeproducing forces, - as from the Ultra-Violet Ray interposing the green light between same

and the body. This would be counteractive, but would only retain forces temporarily.

Hence, the choice as to doing this would be made by those who may administer for thewelfare physically of the body.

Else, with the administration of the narcotics to allay the suffering, there may only be theprayer that there be the peace as may come to all who seek His face. In His promises Hehas given that if we will call He will hear. He does not fail.

In the material for aid, the adding of the lights in the manner indicated would offertemporary allaying - not cures.

As we find, while conditions are rather specific in regard to the helpful forces desired, in

contemplating or in giving that which would be more beneficial to the body it isnecessary to take into consideration more than just the physical conditions.

For with the particular conditions that are preventing the hearing, we find that there is

much more than may appear upon the surface to be considered.

To what has the body attuned itself as to its hearing? Hearing is one of the senses of the

nervous systems of the body, and the nervous system of the sensory organism which is asthe passage between mental and spiritual aspirations of an individual entity.

True there are purely pathological conditions, yet these - if attuned to or centered upon

the spiritual things and spiritual desires - may indeed be helped so that, even with the loss

of auditory reaction there may be even greater hearing attuned by the body.

Have you considered the great artist as a pianist who accomplished his greater workswhen little or no hearing was available of a physical nature? As to how the inner sensewas attuned to the infinite?

As the sensory forces or nerve centers are the passage of the finite to the infinite, why notattune the body-forces of self to the beauties of the infinite and study to show thyself

approved unto God, a workman not ashamed? No, one not hindered even by the

handicap, as might be termed, of imperfect hearing.

True, catarrhal condition in the nasal passages and the throat, and the tendency of the boyto disregard the existent conditions when there are periods of cold and congestion having

to do with the organs of generation in the body, have also contributed to the reckoning to

which the body is responding in the present.

Attune self to the divine within, using the abilities of every nature for the reconstructionof self as well as that about self. For if you would have hearing, give it and make thelistening to something that the entity might accomplish be worthwhile - and ye will hear.

Then use finger surgery, osteopathically; correcting subluxations that exist in the 4th

lumbar, upper portion of 9th dorsal, 3rd and 4th dorsal and in the 1st, 2nd and 3rdcervical; preparing the body for finger surgery. Thus there may be gained physically fifty

per cent of the hearing, which is now existent only about sixty. So we may attain almostto full hearing, or to at least ninety-four per cent.

Do that.

Do the first things first. Don't begin with the mechanical treatments. Begin first with selfand the correcting of body energies towards creative forces.

Do keep close to music.

(Q) What thing, or things, can body do to prevent or help prevent having said attacks or

spells?

(A) Being able to consciously hold within the conscious mind of self that source fromwhich all help MAY come, by making same active in the experience of self. As body has

held, does hold, that figure, that manifested form in a material plane, that is the

representative of ALL good, all health, all power, hold that image - become conscious ofthat presence, and it will banish all of those forces as make for pain, sorrow, tears, and

misunderstandings.

(Q) How much longer a time should body remain at hospital before it will be ready for

such an operation?(A) That must be dependent upon the response to the action of the physical forces to the

organs of the system, and MOST of all that of the ability to conquer in self the fear, andTHE ability to - or ACCOMPLISH the ability to - hold the image of the Saviour.

(Q) Body is not ready for operation at this time?

(A) This, as has been given. Hold to that, continuous in self, I am the way, the truth, thelight - He, or she, that abides IN me abides in the Father also, and I will in no wise allow

thee to see corruption; with that image held, that consciousness of that spirit in self,

ALL may be accomplished for self as is desired. Do that.

As we find, we are in the middle of a cycle in body changes and body development. Ifthere continues to be the same reproductions in the body of that with which the mental

But, if there will be measures taken to correct these conditions, and thus in the main the

attitude of the individual, the body itself, turn to those things that are of the spirit

creative, we will help. In those periods of its physical and mental reactions when nearnormal, let the entity manifest gentleness, kindness, longsuffering, brotherly love,

patience, fellowship, and the like. In the beginning, to be sure, these are as but attitudes

of mind to the individual, and may be expressed in the purpose of the entity, as in This Ido. And yet in the practical application of this we find very little of the true spiritualconcept in the body-mind of the entity.

Hence, these should be made to become realities in the activity of self, in such a way that

there are the reactions to the minds of those with whom the entity comes in contact; that

may bring not merely pity, but that real desire and hope, and hope expressed by amaterial manifestation of desiring to do something - in the way of supplying the littleconveniences, the little niceties to make life easier for the body. Not in self-indulgence,

no. Not in self-indulgence in appetite or in the gratifying of appetites alone, but in the

spiritual aspirations, spiritual desires, spiritual purposes, as to lend the self in acoordinated group of individuals for the betterment of general conditions of individuals

thus afflicted.

In the matter of the activities and the diet: Let the activities be in that way of helpfulforces; not pitying self nor seeking or asking pity of others, but cooperative forces as forcreative energies; that is, helpful influences in the lives of self and others to aid in

creating a better body and mind for the activity of the soul-forces of this body.

(Q) Any spiritual advice?

(A) Let thy spirit bear witness with His spirit.

In the rest of the system, as we find, there are those anxieties naturally that come from the

mental processes.

Thou Hast With Me At This Time. Let My Desires, My Hopes, Be In The Way Thou, O

Lord, Would Have Me Go. I Know, Through The Promises In The Christ, That ThouCanst Heal. Cleanse Me, Lord, In Thine Own Way.

Let that be ever present as the attitude in all thou doest, and in all the applications made

for corrections.

These may not be in keeping with some of thy thoughts, but know that the Lord in His

purpose and in His power CAN, WILL, DOES use EVERY means that man may beaware of His love for each soul!

Eye Ailments

Know this, - that all healing of every nature - no matter what the physical applicationmay be - must come from the divine. It is then the attuning of the body, no matter whatthe defects, no matter what the hindrances or the injuries may have been, - whether of a

very subtle nature at times (as indicated here), that may undermine the choices made

through the mental abilities of a body, or whether of a purely physical nature.

For instance, the general health here - though nominally good - is IRRITATED at times

by this feeling of being hindered, or an inferiority complex within the self.

Then, the conditions to be met, - but remember these things that have just been given.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, within; and all these things HE, thy father, thy God,

seeth ye have need of, may be added unto thee, and given thee. For it hath been declaredof old that perception, awarenesses that come to each soul through the organs of the

sensory system - vision, hearing, taste, smell, feeling - and the exercising of same - are

the gift of God; and that soul is either in attune with or interfering with God's purposes

for it.

The injury has caused a lesion in the vision itself; so that there is a spreading of the vision

of the injured optic.

And this, as we find, WITH the right attitude, WITH that purpose for which it may be

healed, may be used in those directions as to the glory of the divine! There may be

applied those material things that will attune this again to a vision, a use, an expression ofthat which is found ONLY in Him. For, in Him ye live, ye move, ye have thy being; and

He hath promised, If ye will call, I will hear - and answer speedily!

Do not conceive that this is not thy individual promise! For He hath said, Whosoever

will may LEARN of me, may apply the virtues in his own experience in such a manner

that I will call him mine own, and will raise him in power, in might; that He may declare

the holy, the acceptable day of the Lord.

The lesion here was formed by an injury direct to the vision center, and is upon eitherside; thus causing the vision to appear sidewise, rather than direct.

Now: There are those areas in the bodily forces from which each organ, each portion of

the system receives impulses for circulation; from which that assimilated in bodily

functions receives that which enables each portion of the body to rebuild itself - throughthe glandular forces, through the lymph and the emunctory circulation of all portions of

the body.

Here, these receive their greater impulses of nerve activity AND circulation from the 1st

and 2nd dorsal centers, through which impulses and nerve flexes react to the optic center

- IN the plexus of the vagus center at the base of the brain.

In the CERVICAL centers - as in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd - we have the impulse for the blood

supply, both the internal and the superficial; from the 2nd and 1st to the deepercirculation, from the 3rd to the superficial.

Hence, by the proper consideration of that to be assimilated, and stimulating those areas

indicated in a manner as to cause greater flow of impulse of blood and nerve energy,there may be brought new life, new influences upon those areas that have - through injury

- adhered in such a manner as to deflect, as to prevent vision being recorded upon the lens

of the eye itself. Portions of this lens itself has received injury, yet the body - as is

understood from the pathological angle - replenishes and rebuilds itself; but WITH thatpattern that is already set - or that as produced by exterior conditions as may become

existent.

Thus stimulation to areas that control the activity may alter, may aid; WITH a mind, witha purpose, with a DESIRE that same be used ONLY in magnifying the goodness, the love

of the divine force; which may also bring to the consciousness of self the awareness of

the needs of the physical being.

Here again it will be best that the treatments be taken in series. Why? As we have

indicated through this channel, the body functions must attune themselves to changes

being wrought in the physical forces of the body.

Hence we would have periods of treatment, then periods of rest or relaxation from same,

see?[electrical treatments suggested.]

Have the periods of treatment, then the periods of general relaxation. And use such

periods as those in which the body itself gives thanks; not verbally alone, but thanks to

the Creative Forces or God for that being accomplished within self, - more by just beingkind, just being patient with others in thy dealings with thy fellow men.

In those things, those conditions ye seek to establish in thy relationships to others,magnify rather the spirit OF the activity. For, the manner in which ye THINK, themanner in which ye act TOWARD thy fellow man, thy home, thy friends, thy neighbors,

- yea, thy enemies, - it is the manner, the concept, the purpose thou hast toward thy

Maker!

Do these, then, - knowing that the greater power, the greater source of thy healing must

be WITHIN thine own SELF and thy reactions to thy circumstance, thy conditions about

The abilities are of such natures as few are given. Hide them not. The BEAUTY of

expression is in nature, in making same a part of every individual's experience.

Aid others in appreciating the beauty, - even of mud, of snow, of nature, of trees, or the

ability to communicate one with another; the meanings of home, of environment, of

peace, of harmony.

And the God of thy fathers keep thee!

EC: Yes. Now, we find there are conditions that are of a hindrance in the physical, and

there conditions that are as destructive in construction of the physical organism of thebody, affecting directly the sensory organism, especially as related to the eyes.

In giving even assistance, much might be said as respecting the conditions that broughtabout this condition of destructive building, as to the mental, of life, of thought, ofexperience, in the ENTITY'S program; as to that necessary for the entity's experience to

gain insight into the spiritual life, the differentiations between those of constructive

thought and those of destructive thought, those entering in from a material basis andfinding lodgement in the mind of the soul, as to become a hindrance in a physical sense,

with the abilities of awakening within the soul mind the continuity of forces - yet

physically, hindrances.

The conditions, however, that face the body for that of material help to the physicalforces of the body, enabling the body to again get hold of self, self's own physical

construction, as to create or enliven the forces in system as to over-come or to meet theemergencies as they arise, to prepare self to meet the various contingencies that comefrom the afflictions or the forces that manifest in the body:

In meeting these, there must be held and known that all healing, all resuscitating forces ofa body must come from the divine from within, and to some this may come only to those

who are enabled to gain such a consciousness from within that will make for

CONSTRUCTIVE forces, doing away with passiveness in even the physical by holdingto the divine, as to bring healing in the wings. These conditions, however, as we find,may be aided by the use of forces external; for all force, all power, EMANATES from

one source. So, as has been given, that which makes up even the electronic energy - that

man knows as electrons or energy in electricity, which may be used as a convenience, asa necessity for man's experience - is of God itself. In awakening dormant forces, then,those forces in nature - of whatever radiation necessary to awaken within a physical being

that portion that will enable the individual to gain that vision, or to lay aside those things

that so easily beset in a physical consciousness and gather a vision of that from over theway, that from the Beyond, that that dwells within; for think not who will ascend to bring

Him unto us, or who will go beyond the sea that we may know that He lives, but He is in

thine own heart, within every atom of thine own being, and that awakening from within

will enable the individual to gain that consciousness, knowing that that committed unto

Him is safe, and He is able to keep that committed against every condition that may arise

within our own experience.

In the physical forces, then, that have been builded in this body, we find elements from

the central nerve system have been influenced by the pressures that exist in the 3rd and4th dorsal, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 1st and 2nd cervical, that prevent an even flow of the nerveenergy to the optic forces, and a constant drying of these forces is producing atrophy - as

materially known - to the optic forces themselves. Then, to awaken same, to enliven

those forces from within, an application of that from without which will bring aconsciousness of the divine, of the LIVING God, of the LIVING forces, able to keep all

that may be committed in a way that, while we ourselves may not understand, Let thy

yeas be yea, and thy nays be nay; and as we build, little by little, line upon line, precept

upon precept, know that the Redeemer liveth in thee, and that thou sheddest abroad is asthe light that is gained by thee of that living force. If thine eye be single, if thine heart be

as one with Him, the issues of life may be brought to such an understanding that will

enable the individual to see, know, understand, those purposes for which the entityentered into the world, that the world might be benefitted by that the entity itself is able toshed as to the light. That maketh the world.

Apply, then, a radium emanation that may be had through the Degnen's lens. Theseshould be worn for one to twenty minutes two or three times each day, with the eyes

closed, seeing the forces that are thrown off becoming one with that necessary to sustain,

to rebuild, to replenish, and these will aid the body in maintaining and gaining a better

hold upon self.

At least once each week have those vibrations in CORRECTIVE forces through

manipulative measures, with first applying of HEAT direct, to the upper dorsal andcervical region, that the alignments in the cerebrospinal centers themselves may bereleased in such a manner as to aid the central circulation, also the nerve energies that

emanate through same.

These will bring an understanding, and better cooperative forces. Get a hold upon self.

Read, study, to know by heart, that given, In my father's house are many mansions.

me, as I am lifted in that consciousness of the individual that the soul hangs upon that

clarifying of the life from ALL forces of the material forces, may be lifted up andenlivened from within. Following these on, as was given, The way I go ye know, andwhen thou hast attained the way into the inner consciousness, through the addition even

of the forces from without to enable the individual to raise the consciousness in the

various forces from oppression from without and from within, allowing the full force oflife itself to emanate, that necessary of the light for thine development in the spiritual

Insanity

It has been helped by the action of the spiritual force in the system, these the spiritual,physical and mental, when we come to the basic principal, are one and the same, yet theyare separate in each individual body itself.

When any action comes to any that separates the physical, mental and spiritual within thebody we produce conditions as exist in this body here. This would be reached then

through this manner or form. The action of mental with spiritual to act with physical

conditions with the application of physical forces to replenish or connect absolute

connection between these forces in body. They are all one, of one and in one, yet theyact as separate organs of functioning organs of each system, physical, mental and

spiritual forces. [treatment given]

As we find, conditions are rather serious. There are both physical and mentaldisturbances. And most of the mental disturbances arise from self-condemnation, until -

through the abuse of self - it is given influence and power over the whole of the body.

We find that there MAY be help, - if there will be that coordination which will increase

that influence in the physical force as may aid in restoring the nerve forces in the body;

THEN directing same through the power of mind and suggestion, led by the spiritual

forces in those who would cooperate in bringing such influence into the experience of thebody.

In giving the conditions as we find them here, this is a condition where - under the nerve

strain, and with those great expectations in the body-mind development, and thenreceiving a shock - there was caused disassociation in the mental forces of the body.

Thus there was produced inharmony between the cerebrospinal and the sympatheticimpulses of the body.

Hence a condition of a pathological nature was produced in which there was nerve

deterioration, or in which the brain cell activity was disturbed in its associations - or the

harmony was disturbed.

Conditions show some better association in the present. These have come from outside

influences, or the effect of mind directed toward the creating of better associations of

Pathologically also it will be found, in the present, that most of the centers along the

cerebrospinal system - where there is the closer association of the ganglia of the

sympathetic AND cerebrospinal connections - show knots or lesions of a form. These arethe physical effects.

There are other disturbances pathologically, but these would respond if there would bethe application of those influences combined with the tentative force now apparent, tobring greater harmony in the body-forces of this body, [2712].

In the present environ little credence might be given these suggestions. If there is theopportunity for release, under the care of a competent nurse or companion, then we

would make THESE applications: [physical recommendations given].

And keep daily - yea, twice daily - the constant meditation or prayer for definitedetermining activities for harmony.

Keep about the body the colors of purple and lavender, and all things bright; music that isof harmony - as of the Spring Song, the Blue Danube and that character of music, witheither the stringed instruments or the organ. These are the vibrations that will set again

near normalcy, - yea, normalcy, mentally and physically, may be brought to this body, if

these influences will be consistently kept about this body.


(Q) What caused this shock, or what was the nature of it?(A) An unexpected disappointment, and a fear of individuals.

Do these things, in prayer - regarding which much might be given; but do these, in faith,in hope; using the opportunity for unity of purpose in Him who gives life.

3. We would, then, make those changes - and with these surroundings would be well that

there be those about the body continually that PHYSICALLY, materially, care for thebody's reactions to become nearer normal, or through those that, through the spiritualinsight of such forces may aid and abet in bringing the proper reactions for the physical

forces. Either those as of the nurse that would be well grounded either in that of science,

or known as Christian Science, or of direct thought, or of Unity.

In giving that as may be helpful to a physical body that has grown in the mental and in

the physical week, and often weary of the material surroundings, it is well that those who

have the ministrations and those that would aid know that the greater help, the greater aid

that may be brought to one so soul-weary is the UNIFIED expression of that Christ-

Consciousness which may arise within the body through the awareness of that divinity in

all. This may bring the greater joy, the greater peace, the greater harmony in this soul's,this entity's experience in the present.

As to the physical forces of this body, [899], we find:

There is very poor circulation at times, owing to the inability of the digestive and

assimilating forces to make for the proper coordinations in these directions. These, as we

find, would be materially aided if there would be given . . . [treatment suggested].

As to the mental capacities of the body, that have at times the periods of depression, the

lack of the coordination between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal, these may be

much better aided by a gentle massage at such periods, when there are those reactions.And at times the applications of the Radio-Active Appliance will make for a quieting of

the body without the continual using of those influences that have been resorted to at

times of sedimentary forces that arise from bromides, narcotics and hypnotics. But theseapplications will make for a quieting in a measure and manner as to make the periods ofthese distresses farther and farther apart, in the neurotic effect of nerves being as on fire

in portions of the body; QUIETING these conditions without making for the detrimental

effects in same.

But most of all, the greater applications would be in letting those who would aid in their

activities become more and more a channel of blessings to others by raising those

consciousnesses within self as may be sent out to such an one as [899]. In such a mannerthere may be brought that awareness within self of the greater harmony of the physicaland mental and spiritual forces of the body.

As to the heart's action that becomes disturbed at times, these we find are the naturalreactions from a weakened mental and nerve reaction; not so much organic. Hence

prayer, meditation, with the gentler application of material things that only make for the

creating of a balance in the system - and that would bring those influences as indicated inmaking that taken as food values become more helpful toward replenishing and

rebuilding the body. Also the use of the Radio-Active Appliance would cause the

impulses of the nerve reactions to become more coordinant between the mental andphysical and spiritual attributes of the body.

These, then, we would do; making occasionally the stimulations as indicated after the

meals, to make for an easing of those torments that at times disturb the body by theinactivity through the coordinating forces of the assimilating system. Then, as the bodyrests of evening, make those applications of the Radio-Active influences that will quiet

and rest the body.

And let those each day aid through those groups that would make such ministrations

through the spiritual influences within theirselves that make for cooperative forces and

And we will make for the easing and the correcting of much that does disturb and has

disturbed the body, [899].

(Q) Is her condition due directly from a physical cause or a mental or emotional one?

(A) It is a combination of same. For those reactions in the physical forces have brought

about the mental incoordination, see? while the mental incoordination makes for more ofthe nerve end reactions, that set the body on fire at times - as it were. But theseministrations indicated will produce the quieting effect, as indicated, and especially more

so by the prayers of those that would be channels may there be brought aid and

harmonious conditions in the mental and physical body.

(Q) With the conditions and circumstances as they are, is it better for the body to remain

at the hospital?

(A) As we would find, if these are administered as indicated, it would be best at thehospital for the immediate. But we should find in thirty to sixty days quite a difference,

and even sooner, so that the surroundings may be changed for the body if so desired.

(Q) How can the Christ-Consciousness be aroused within her?(A) Through the cooperative forces of individuals who give themselves as channels for

such an activity.

(Q) Any other suggestions for the body at this time?

(A) These we would do in the present. And let the meditation and the prayer ever be, of

those that would aid:

RAISE THOU, O GOD, IN THIS BODY, THAT WHICH IS THE BEST AS THOUSEEST FIT; THAT THERE MAY BE THE HARMONY THAT COMES IN THYLOVE FOR THIS SOUL.

As we find, there are disturbances, but whether these will respond to the applications thatmay be suggested will depend a great deal upon the faith and hope and persistency of the

parents, for this has gone on for so long.

There are pressures in the coccyx end of the spine from an injury received thirty-sevenyears ago. This has become static.

We would do this: [treatment suggested].

Thus we may get response if there are prayers and activities of those about the body in

the way of patience, persistency and consistency.


(Q) Should she be left in an institution or return to her home in ...?

(A) It cannot be done in an institution.

(Q) What causes the hallucinations and the persisting in wearing a cardboard or metal pad

above her right eye?

(A) These are the reactions from former appearances of the same entity in the earth.

(Q) Why does she imagine she is being abandoned and tortured by people who dislike

her?(A) This, again, is the impression from other appearances in the earth.

Do these that have been indicated. It will require long periods and patience.

Do have the corrections made osteopathically. Have them made in this manner:

[treatment continued].

Let the parents make the suggestions as the body sleeps, not as the body arouses orawakens, but with the Appliance on as the body sleeps. Normalcy and love and care of

parents is due every child.

These, then, are the conditions as are to be met, that there may be brought discernment inthe mental, that it, the mental, may build in the physical conditions that to which the

body, through same, may attain. O that men and women would learn to discern the

manifestations of the Lord, as He in His goodness gives to men that which will - would

they but bring it to the gift of man - bring the discerning of the light, the life, and the loveas may be manifested among the Sons of men!

In this condition here, as is seen with [2241] - that of neglect in discernment asconcerning the fruits of self's own aggrandizement in the flesh; for while the spirit iswilling, the flesh is weak, and the will of man may make for hardships or for blessings in

the lives of those that are as gifts in the world - as known in a spiritual and physical and

material manifestation of those elements as make up the forces of the universe.

In this condition, then, to aid and to bring about, there should be the care and attention as

will come from CALLING on the name of the Lord while He may be found, and thisawakened in the heart, the mind, the soul of the body in such a way as to bring the properunderstanding of ITS relations to the universe, individuals, self, and to the Creator.

Only, then, seeking close to the throne of grace may THIS understanding come for thosewho would administer in the present experience that necessary for a betterment of thecondition of the body now known as [2241].

Melancholia

As we find, unless there can be the persuasion through suggestion in or from the spiritualapproach, little may be done to arouse this body from the lethargy into which it haspurposely driven itself.

To be sure there are pathological disturbances, but these arise more from thepsychological or psychopathic conditions than from the purely physical condition. To be

sure there are incoordinations between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic systems.

These are nerve lapses. And these may be aided. But the real basis of the aid must come

from spiritual suggestion.

While ordinarily they would not combine, these two sources offer the greater help that

may be obtained - and all should learn the lesson that the law of the Lord is perfect, theLord is one.

Suggestions should be made from purely the spiritual angle, in conjunction with purely

mechanical applications. These, if practiced in this particular case would bring relief.

Also have a Christian Science Reader with the body as an attendant, a companion, who

would continue to make suggestions; first for the awakening to possibilities in theoutdoors, in nature, in things of Creative activity.

And we will find we may supply the breaking up of the nerve forces in this body. This

will prevent the deterioration or the regular conditions that ordinarily arise when suchmelancholy becomes a part of the experience.

While there are physical disturbances, these as we find have been produced as much by

the mental attitude - to self, to conditions, to surrounding influences.

And these then need not only a physical but a spiritual approach to the applications forrelief and help to be brought the body.

As is SOMETIMES understood, the physical will deteriorate through MENTAL

suggestions to self.

And the self-condemnation has produced in those portions of the cerebrospinal system

such activity upon the nervous system as to produce a reaction that is contrary to the

activities of the nervous body.

Hence those periods of melancholia, those periods when there is the determination for

self-effacement in one manner or another.

This has produced in SPECIFICALLY the centers in the upper dorsal and through the

cervical, and especially in the vagus area, such reactions that there becomes an

incoordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic or vegetative nerve systems ofthe body.

Then, under the VARIED activity, this produces disturbances in the reaction of the

organs that become involved by the too much flow of impulse to the system.

Thus we find there are those overflows often to the ducts that magnify and manifest

sadness, sorrow, and self-effacement; in that the condemnations which aris
