There are 6 kind of Sentences classified according to meaning:

 

- Basic - Affirmative- Negative - Interrogative- Imperative - Exclamatory

In this first chapter we are going to identify a basic sentence:

  (Declarative Sentence or

Positive Sentence) 

A basic sentence is one that states a fact without any transformations.

The usual word order in these sentences is:

Subject + Verb + Complement

We have had a lot to do lately

Grammatical Subject + part of the predicate + real subject

There is a book on the tableIt is essential that you come to see me.
