The indicators, switches, interface terminals and jacks for wiring with theassociated equipment are described here.

The IDU component modules listed in Table 2-1 are plugged-in from frontof the IDU shelf as shown in Fig. 2-1.

The ODU Equipment Type is shown in Fig. 2-2 and Table 2-2.

Note: Use shielded cables which are connected to the D-Sub/RJ-45connector to suppress interference from affecting the signal andto reduce electromagnetic radiation which may interfere withother signal cables.

Note: Twist power cables (+)/() to suppress inductive interferencesignals.

    2.5 32E1 INTFC (I/O BOARD)

The 32E1 INTFC applies for up to 32E1 (2.048 Mbps) signals interface. The module performs, Bipolar-Unipolar/Unipolar-Bipolar conversion,Stuffing/Destuffing, Multiplex/Demultiplex the radio section frame,Hitless Switching, AIS Detection/Generation and Near End/Far Endloopback for each E1 CH. The interface impedance can be selected from75 ohms/unbalanced and 120 ohms/balanced using LCT.

2 PORT LAN interface provides optionally to transmit up to 100 (156*)Mbps LAN with/without E1 signals.

*Note:For High Capacity PDH 32E1(H2990D) interface.

The user interface signals conform to ITU-T/IEEE as listed in thefollowing tables. For the details, refer to Appendix LAN INTERFACE(10/100BASE-T(X) Application and setting.

Only when the FPGA ROM Ver 3.01 or later is mounted, the ENHNODAL Mode is supported. The LAN transmission with the NEO/a (ENH NODAL) equipment iscome possible by using the ENH NODAL Mode.

    LED Indication Remarks

Indicator Indicates which Port is applied to thesignal interface.

When the indicator is flashing slowly, the input signal is off in thecorresponding interface port which isset to be used.

When the indicator is flashing fast, theinput/output signal is on in thecorresponding interface port which isset to be used.

When the indicator is lit steady, thesignal is linked in the correspondinginterface port which is set to be used.

When the indicator is unlit, thecorresponding interface which port isset to no use.
