2. OPERATING EQUIPMENT
The indicators, switches, interface terminals and jacks for wiring with theassociated equipment are described here.
The IDU component modules listed in Table 2-1 are plugged-in from frontof the IDU shelf as shown in Fig. 2-1.
The ODU Equipment Type is shown in Fig. 2-2 and Table 2-2.
Note: Use shielded cables which are connected to the D-Sub/RJ-45connector to suppress interference from affecting the signal andto reduce electromagnetic radiation which may interfere withother signal cables.
Note: Twist power cables (+)/() to suppress inductive interferencesignals.

2.10 4P LAN INTFC (Optional)
The 4P LAN INTFC (optional) is installed into the Main-INTFC slot(Slot1) in the PDH system configuration and it provides 4 Port LANinterface with up to 8E1 interfaces. The LAN interface is used 4 Portshared (P1-P4) mode, 2 Port (P1-P2/P3-P4) shared mode or separated (P1/P2/P3/P4) mode. It is possible to use 4 Port LAN interfaces intransmission capacity of 100 Mbps (32QAM) as special mode (applicablechannel number of E1 are 4 CH in this mode). When the transmissioncapacity is used within 10 to 80 Mbps, the occupied band width for theLAN and E1 is assignable as the same assignement as the 16E1 INTFC.
The E1 interface impedance of the 2M IN/OUT can be selected from 75ohms/unbalanced and 120 ohms/balanced using LCT.
When this module is applied, use of SC channel is unavailable.
The LAN Port switching function is selectable when the LAN Port Usageis applied to the Shared Mode.

The GbE INTFC is installed into the Main-INTFC slot (Slot1)instead of the STM-1 INTFC in the SDH (128QAM) systemconfiguration. The signal is connected either SFP (for 1000BASE-SX/LX)or RJ-45 (for 1000BASE-T).The LAN signal is transferred to STM-1 signal by data mapping usingunique method to improve throughput. The RSOH bytes (E1/F1/DCCr) isavailable between radio links. The RMON for LINE side is available butDMR side is unavailable. The maximum passage packet size is 9600 bytes.
The GbE INTFC is applicable together with the LAN/WS INTFC.
