  • ROME PRE-CRUISE OPTION

    Day 1: Sept 18 (Sat) | Depart from LAX Meet at airport for departure from LAX or SFO.

    Day 2: Sept. 19 (Sun) | Rome (Civitavecchia), ItalyYou will be transported to Royal Caribbean for afternoon depar-ture on the Odyssey of the Seas.

    Day 3: Sept 20 (Mon) | At Sea Relax, fellowship, worship, Bible study, and enjoy the many ame-nities aboard the brand new ship, Odyssey of the Seas.

    Day 4: Sept 21 (Tues) | Athens (Piraeus), Greece Arrive at 12 PM (*you will be on your own for the afternoon). Ath-ens is the main hub of intellectualism in New Testament times. It was here where Paul preached one of the greatest recorded sermons to the intellectuals on Mars Hill, located on a rise above the ancient ruins.

    Day 5: Sept 22 (Wed) | Athens (Piraeus), Greece We will be taking a private group tour (lunch is not included) to Ancient Corinth, one of the most important city states of ancient Greece and definitely one of the most important parts of Paul’s journey in Greece. Paul spent 18 months preaching to the Jews and Gentiles. In Corinth, Paul worked with Aquila and Priscil-la. He founded a church, and we have two of his letters to the church in the New Testament. Paul’s trial took place in the Agora (Acts 18:12–17). It is also from Corinth that Paul wrote to the Thes-salonians. (Departure from port at 5 PM.)

    Day 6: Sept 23 (Thurs) | Rhodes, Greece9 AM to 9 PM (*on your own). Step back in time as you encounter the most well-preserved medieval town in Greece listed among UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

    Day 7: Sept 24 (Fri) | Ephesus (Kusadasi), TurkeyPrivate group tour (includes lunch). Ephesus is the city where Paul ministered for over two years. Timothy and the apostle John all ministered in this ancient cosmopolitan city.

    Day 8: Sept 25 (Sat) | At Sea

    Day 9: Sept 26 (Sun) | Jerusalem (Ashdod), IsraelPrivate group tour (lunch included).

    • Southern Temple Steps: part of extensive excavations that unearthed steps that led up to the Temple Mount from the time of Jesus.

    • Pool of Bethesda St. Anne’s Church: the pool where Jesus healed an infirmed man.

    • Western “Wailing” Wall: a section of the Temple Mount foun-dation dating back to the 2nd Temple Period, the most sa-cred Jewish site in Jerusalem.

    • Roman Cardo: the ancient Roman street through the Old City, with lunch in the Old City. Antonia Fortress/Ecce Homo, the traditional location where Jesus was beaten and mocked with a crown of thorns.

    • Via Dolorosa: the “way of the cross” that leads to the tradi-tional site of Jesus’s crucifixion.

    • Garden Tomb: a memorable communion service held near an ancient tomb similar to the one where Christ was buried.

    Day 10: Sept 27 (Mon) | Sea of Galilee (Haifa), IsraelPrivate group tour (lunch included).

    • Mount Arbel: a stunning vista of the Sea of Galilee and sites of Jesus’s public ministry.

    • Magdala: the hometown of Mary Magdalene and a newly discovered archaeological site. Visit the only first-century synagogue found around the Sea of Galilee.

    • Capernaum: the town and synagogue where Jesus preached during His Galilean ministry.

    • Boat Ride Sea of Galilee: cross the Sea of Galilee in a replica of a boat from Jesus’s time.

    • Baptism Yardenit: You will have a unique opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River.

    Days 11 & 12: Sept 28 & 29 (Tues/Wed) | At Sea

    Day 13: Sept 30 (Thurs) | Naples (Capri), Italy 7 AM to 6 PM (*on your own).

    Day 14: Oct 1 (Fri) | End in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy 5 AM. We will be transported to the airport to depart home with memories that will last a lifetime.

    Sept 19 (Sun)After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and board a mo-tor coach for transport to the ship where we will meet the rest of the group and begin our journey aboard the beautiful Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas.
