In 2019, we shifted our signature fundraising event to the start of the season and debuted at a new location— The Anthem at District Wharf. The response was tremendous! The sold-out event hosted over 850 attendees to welcome home the Washington Nationals with a flashy red carpet takeover of Wharf Street and celebrate our Power of Baseball Award honorees, the inaugural graduating class of eighth-grade Scholar Athletes from the Youth Baseball Academy. Together, we raised nearly $1.1 million to support the community-based programs and philanthropic initiatives of the Nationals foundation.

By sponsoring the 2020 Nationals Homecoming Gala, you are directly supporting the philanthropic division of the Washington Nationals. Your donations will support our pursuit to become the leading philanthropic organization

in professional sports through initiatives including:

On March 23, we will celebrate the return of baseball to Washington—welcoming home the 2020 Washington Nationals and introducing more about the foundation’s strategic work to enhance and extend its impact across the region.

The not-to-be-missed event will once again be hosted at The Anthem and feature a red carpet, activations around District Wharf, live entertainment, cocktail reception followed by a dinner program and live auction, and an exclusive after party. The Nationals Homecoming Gala will be the team’s premier off-the-field event.

HOST COMMITTEE The Host Committee provides essential leadership for a successful event and includes distinguished participants across a variety of industries. We are currently forming the Homecoming Gala 2020 Host Committee of volunteers interested in fundraising for the event.
