1. Minimum credits required for graduation is 120 hours.

• Students must complete 32+ credits hours at 30000+ level at Purdue University. • Students must complete a minimum of nine credits from the approved list of International Understanding selectives – see

College of Agriculture Website.* • Students must complete 3 credit Multicultural Awareness Requirement – see College of Agriculture Website.* • Students must complete a College of Agriculture capstone course. This course can be one of Agricultural Economics’

Capstone Courses (AGEC 41100, 42700, 43000, 43100 or 49900) or any approved College of Agriculture capstone course. • Students classified as sophomores or higher with a minimum graduation index of 2.0 can complete 21 hours of pass/no-pass

(P/N) grading option. A “C-” or better must be earned to receive the credit. A course can be taken ”P/N” if the course is either labeled as EL or SEL.

• A student will not receive credit for the following courses: CHM 10000; ENGL 10000, 10900; ENGR 19100, 19200, 19300; MA 11100, 12300, 13300, 13400, 15100, 15555; PHYS 14900; STAT 11300, 11400: and all GS courses except GS 49000 Discovery Park Undergraduate Research.

2. All Department of Agricultural Economics first semester freshmen are required to take AGR 10100 and AGR 11200. A student transferring or CODO’ing into the Department of Agricultural Economics does not need to take AGR 10100 and AGR 11200. These students must substitute a free elective credit for these courses.

3. Mathematics and Basic Sciences • See College of Agriculture catalog website* for an approved list of Biology selectives.

o Highly Recommended: BIOL 11000 (4 credits) and BTNY 11000 (4 credits). • The 3 credit hours of MA/SCI selectives must come from the approved list of Additional Mathematics or Sciences on the College of

Agriculture website*. • The 3 credit hours of Science, Tech, & Society selectives must come from the approved list of University Sciences, Technology,

and Society courses on the University Core Curriculum web site.** 4. Communication Requirements

• First Year Composition includes the following courses: ENGL 10600, 10800, HONR 19903, SCLA 10100 • First Year Speech includes the following courses: COM 11400, 21700, EDPS 31500, SCLA 10200 • The six hours of Written/Oral Communication Selective may be any course at the 20000+ level from the COM and ENGL departments, any

second semester freshmen composition course, any ASL (American Sign Language) course, AGR 20100, ASEC 44000, EDPS 31500, or ENTM 20100

5. Social Sciences and Humanities – See College of Agriculture Website* • 3 credits must come from the approved list of Humanities courses on the University Core Curriculum website.** • 9 credits from Social Sciences or Humanities – See College of Agriculture Website* • Minimum of 9 credits must be earned from outside the College of Agriculture. • Minimum of 3 credits at the 30000+ level (Most students will earn this from their ECON SEL) • A student cannot receive credit for both SOC 10000 and SOC 31200

6. Key AGEC Course Rules • Students must complete 3 credits from the following courses for the ECON selective:

• Any course from the Economics department higher than ECON 25200 or any of the following AGEC Courses: (3) AGEC 30500 (Agricultural Prices) (3) AGEC 40600 (Nat’l Resources/Environmental Econ) (3) AGEC 33300 (Food Distribution: A Retailing Perspective) (3) AGEC 41000 (Agricultural Policy) (3) AGEC 34000 (Economics of World Development) (3) AGEC 45000 (International Agricultural Trade)

• Students can only receive credit for one of the following courses - ECON 21000, ECON 25200 or AGEC 21700. • Students can only receive credit for one of the following courses - ECON 25100, AGEC 20300 or AGEC 20400.

7 FAB Selectives include the following courses (students can’t use required courses in concentration to also satisfy FAB SEL): • AGEC 31000, 31100, 32100, 33100, 33300, 41100, 41200, 42100, 42500, 42700, 42900, 43000, 43100, 45500, 45600, 52400, 52600, 53300 • CSR 20900, 28200, 30900, 31500, 33100, 33200, 34200, 34400, 38600, 40100, 40400, 40900, 41500, 48100 • HORT 43500 • ENTR, MGMT, TLI, IET, OBHR or OLS courses at the 20000+ level • TLI 11200 (former OLS 25200) or TLI 15200 (former OLS 27400) – not both

8. Students in Agrifinance must take MGMT 20000 and not MGMT 21200. This is also the case for a student desiring to take MGMT 20100 as one of their FAB Selectives.

9. Students must complete 3 credits from the following courses for the Human Relations Management Selective: (3) TLI 11200 (Foundations of Organizational Leadership) or OLS 25200 (Human Relations in Organization) (3) TLI 15200 (Business Principles for Organizational Leadership) or OLS 27400 (Applied Leadership)

10. Students must complete 3 credits from the following courses for the Industrial Engineering Technology Selective (3) IET 23500 (Intro to Lean and Sustainable Systems) (3) IET 21400 (Introduction to Supply Chain Management Technology)

(3) IET 31600 (Statistical Quality Control) (3) IET 41400 (Financial Analysis for Technology Systems) 11. Students in the Commodity Marketing Concentration will not be able to take AGEC 30500 to satisfy their ECON selective.
