Living Eggs Incursion 23 March - 3 April 2020
This year our Living Eggs program was experienced in a different way as we had many children away during this time. Though their educators made sure that they do not miss out on this special, fun and educational experience, hence posted videos and stories of our chicks hatching and growing. We have experienced a variety of learning, such as singing and dancing to chicken songs, learning about the life cycle through story telling, puzzle solving, picture story making, talking about emotions, during our chicks visit. One experience that stood out the most was our children building a farm for their chicks using blocks and legos. They made a ‘Farm House’ for the chicks to live in, a ‘Fun Park’ for the chicks to play in, including slides swings and balance beams. Our chicks at first struggled to stay on the blocks, though with the children’s help, they seemed like they started to enjoy the experience as well ☺

• Learning Outcome 4.1 - Children are curious and imaginative about their environment.• Learning Outcome 4.2 - Children explore their environment.
