Antonio RagusaDean of Rome Business School
Welcome to Rome BusinessSchool Employment Report
I am pleased to present the Rome Business School’s Employment Report 2020, a document that illustrates the results of our commitment to career services in a comprehensive and detailed manner.
This area of our activity is increasingly important today, in a job market that is constantly evolving at great speed. The global dimension of professional dynamics and the impact of organization’s new technologies imply the need for updated skills. From this point of view, a modern business school can and must play a key role in correctly identifying the needs of the employers and in providing educational support that meet these needs. At the same time, the Business School must represent a pole capable of proactively and with synergy connect the demand and supply of highly qualified professionals.
In this perspective, career services represent a central aspect of our activities, and we consider it as our essential task to support students in their professional growth.
As you will see from this report, the results of our work during 2019 have been very positive and are part of the overall strategy of the Rome Business School aimed at constantly creating value for students.
Our commitment is not only evidenced by the positive placement data but also confirmed by the achievement of prestigious awards received in 2019. Among these, four of our Masters have been positioned among the top world Eduniversal’s rankings.
We are aware that this growth trend of the Rome Business School is a result of our ability to concretely contribute to the personal and professional development of our students. And we are honored to be able to make our educational contribution to their career as responsible leaders for the global era or, as our motto says, “Better Managers for a Better World”.
Enjoy the reading.

You can get advantage of more than 10 specific services to rise your employability with over 45 activities, between workshops, webinars, company meetings and much more.
With our help, you can create your career strategy via a 3 step journey of self-reflection, exploration, and achievement. This program is designed to help you find internships or positions in line with your ambitions and expectations.
BuildYour journey towards a satisfying future career begins with self-discovery. There are many paths in front of you, and together we can find the right one to follow by assessing your skills, strengths, interests, values, and personality. We encourage students to attend a workshop to learn more about the process of CV writing and, afterwards, to benefit from our one-to-one Career Services individual meetings. A session on the specifics of the job market is also part of this first phrase to help you understand all your possibilities in Italy and abroad.
EngageThe aim of this second phase is to prepare students for competitive recruitment processes. Students are given tools to define both strategies and objectives: who they are and what they want professionally, as a starting point from which to approach the market. An online presence helps to build your professional brand and allows employers and recruiters to find you when searching for talent, while the workshop on handling different types of interviews will help you refine your skills, provide a confidence boost for candidates and give practical tips relating to interview questions, answers, and techniques.
ActThe third and final phase of the service mainly focuses on networking activities to enhance the student’s professional visibility. Networking is a give-and-take process that involves making connections, sharing information and asking questions. It is a way of learning how to relate to others. Company meetings, RBS Talent Focus Initiative, Mock Interview Day and other initiatives provide the perfect opportunities to put in practice what you have learnt during the CS workshops and may lead you to rewarding employment prospects.

Apostolos Christoforidis GreeceMaster in International Human Resources ManagementHR Intern at PNValue Hellas
How did the opportunity with PNValue Hellas IKE come about? “My position at PNValue Hellas as an HR intern, came after having been working closely with the career services department. I recommend Rome Business School to anyone who is pursuing any managerial master’s degree. All the lectures involved very experienced professionals and were focused on analyzing real-life cases. Apart from the lectures, Rome Business School offers you the chance to take initiative and be involved in many different projects such as the creation of cultural event. To find my current position, the Career Services’ team played a pivotal role. They were the ones that initiated the first contact between myself and the company”.
Giulia Marchi ItalyMaster in Fashion ManagementBuyer Intern at Luisa Via Roma
How have you integrated at the firm? What is the working atmosphere like? “Even if it is only five months that I am working for Luisa Via Roma I can say that I integrated myself without any type of problems or obstacles. The firm is big and we are a large number of employees so it is almost impossible to know everyone but I started interacting with my closer colleagues (in terms of collaboration) from the beginning. I think that this has been possible also because I consider myself open minded and with capacity of adaptation. We know that fashion is not an “easy” reality but in general the atmosphere at Luisa Via Roma is quiet and pleasing. The majority of them are always willing, well prepared and team working people.”
Giulia Cavadegna ItalyMaster in Food and Beverage ManagementFood and Beverage Intern at Ikea Group
How did the opportunity with IKEA arise? “The opportunity arose thanks to the Career service, after our meeting, they proposed me an intern opportunity related to a Start-Up in the Hospitality sector. It was not exactly what I was looking for, so I decided not to apply. Soon the Career Services’ team sent me the opened position at IKEA FOOD and the Brand attracted me a lot. The next day I sent my CV and within a couple of days they booked me for an interview. The first one was online while the second one directly in the Store with the Food Leaders and the Operational Manager. I’ve always thought that even if the outcome might not have been successful, the opportunity to be interviewed by such a big Multinational company was a challenging and interesting opportunity. Luckily they liked me so I started this amazing experience with IKEA.”
Angela Coelho PortugalMaster in Marketing and CommunicationsDigital Marketing Intern at Escapada Rural
Did our career services play an important role in helping you find and land this opportunity? “Career services was the main reason I have found this opportunity. The team was tireless in helping me to find an internship that would give me the opportunity to grow professionally. They have followed my journey closely and helped me in every step of the way, from giving me advices about how to improve my CV to actually contact companies and recommend me. Thanks to this internship, I have discovered the way to put together my personal passion for the tourism business with my professional passion for marketing and communication and this will definitely shape my future career path.”
