Puget Sound Gateway Program
The Puget Sound Gateway Program is
composed of two projects:
• Completion of SR 167 in Pierce County
• Completion of SR 509 in King County

chambers and trucking interests

Work hours
• Typical work hours Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Occasional night and weekend work.

What to expect
• Occasional flagger on 70th Avenue East, near 20th Street East, to direct trucks in/out of work zone.
• Periodic lane closures on SR 99, between 62nd Avenue East and 70th Avenue East.
• Speed limit reduced on SR 99 from 45 MPH to 35 MPH.
• Full nighttime closure of I-5 in late summer or early fall girder setting.
