• Setalltransmittersettingstodefault.
Important: The Aileron, Elevator and Rudder settings in the transmitter must remain at their factory default values. Settings for reverse, sub trim, travel adjustment, expo and dual rate must be done in the App only.
1.Installthereceiverinoneof8possibleorientationsusingdoublesidedtape.
2.Theservoportsmustbefacingthefrontorrearoftheaircraft.
3.Thereceivermustbemountedparalleltotheroll,pitchandyawaxis(NOTANGLED).
1.Insertthebindplugintointhereceiverbindportandpoweronthereceiver.TheLEDshouldblinktoindicatethereceiverisinbindmode.
2.Bindthetransmittertothereceiveratlowthrottle.Refertoyourtransmitter’smanualfordetailsonhowtobindtoyourspecifictransmitter.

2.Powerthereceiverthroughanyopenchannel.
3.Connecttheaudioplugontheinterfacecabletotheaudiojackonyourmobiledevice.ThevolumeMUSTbeturneduptofull.
4.Ensureyouhavesecurereceiverdataportandaudiodataportconnections.
Ifthereceiverisbeingconnectedforthefirsttime,theAppwillautomaticallyopeninModelWizardintheModelSetupscreen.
*Minimum system requirements:iOS 6.0, iPhone 4, iPod 4th gen and Android 4.0
*Does not apply to iOS Devices.

AS3X Settings
TheInitialSetupmenuenablesyoutoviewindividualscreenswithoutusingtheWizard.YouwillalsousetheInitialSetupmenutoperformaModelReset,sharemodelfilesviae-mailoraccesstheWizard.SomescreensintheInitialSetupmenualsohaveprogrammingcapabilitiesthatarenotavailableintheWizard.
Initial Setup
SelectthetransmitterchannelyouwishtousefortheFlightModeswitch.
Tip: IfyouwishtousetheGearchannelforflightmodes,butalsowishtousea3-positionswitch,youwillneedtoassigntheGearchanneltoa3-positionswitchinthetransmitter.
ThePortAssignmentscreenenablesyoutochangethereceiverportassignmentforeachsurface.
CAUTION: Changingtheportassignmentsmaycauseissueswithothercontrolsurfacesormixesthatyouhaveprogrammedinyour
transmitter.Alwaysperformacontroltestandsetfailsafevaluesbeforeflyingyouraircraft.Failuretodosomayresultintheaircraftcrashing.
• Gray port assignemnts are not in use.• Orange port assignments are currently in use.• Red port assignments are currently being used as part of a
mix.
IMPORTANT: IfyouselectAircraftTypeintheInitialSetupmenu,thefollowingpop-upalertappears:
“Reselecting your aircraft type will reset all your surface settings. Are you sure you want to continue.”
Ifyouselect“Continue”,youmustre-programallofyourtravelvalues,dualrates,etc.

WhenABSisselected,theRateandHeadingGainvaluesthatareprogrammedintheApplicationarefixed(absolute)foreachgivenflightmodeandarenotadjustablefromthetransmitter.
WhenRELisselected,theRateandHeadinggainvaluesareadjustablefromthetransmitter.Thisallowsinflightgainadjustments.SomeSpektrumtransmittersfeatureanAS3Xscreenthatallowsthegaintobeadjustedfromthetransmitteranddisplaystheactivevalueforeachgainthatincludespriorityinrealtime.
IMPORTANT: WhenRELisselected,thegainvalueintheapplicationrepresentsthemaximumavailablegain.

1.DragupordownintheblackareaofthecurvetoadjusttheRateGain.
2.DragupordownontheverticallinetoadjusttheHeadingGain.HeadingGainisonlyactivewhenthetransmittercontrolstickisnearcenter.
3.DragleftorrightacrosstheverticallinetoadjusttheStickPriority.AdjustingthePriorityenablesyoutoturnthegainoffwhenthetransmittercontrolstickreachesacertainposition.
4 Pressthe toreturntotheGainscreen.
TheMixingmenuintheAS3XProgrammerAppisonlyusedformixesinvolvingcontrolsurfaces.Anymixesinvolvinglights,retracts,etc.shouldbeprogrammedinyourtransmitterasusual.Sixprogrammablemixesareavailableintheapp.
1. Pressthe“+”tocreateanewmix.
2.Assignthemasterandslavechannels.
3.Assignmixvalues.
4.Pressthesyncbuttontosavethemixandsendtheprogrammingtothereceiver.Youmustsendthemixprogrammingtothereceiverbeforeyoucancreateanothermix.
