Thought of the Week"How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God’s people to live together in harmony!” (Psalm 133:1)Our heavenly Father loves it when his people live in unity. That’s where he bestows his blessing and his anointing, and where there is a promise of fruitfulness. On the other hand, where there’s fussing and fighting among the people of God, that group of believers is going nowhere – regardless of whether they have a great choir or have powerful PowerPoint presentations. Why? Because God is a God of peace. We don’t all hit the same note, because we all have different personalities and giftings, but we can hit those notes in harmony rather than in discord. So, we have to ask ourselves: are we working toward that unity that the Lord is calling for – getting along with our brothers and sisters, forgiving each other, bearing with one another’s faults – or are we insisting on our own way, causing division and strife? Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us preserve unity and harmony in the body of Christ.
