work-based assessment units• Colleges providing in-house training

This category of the Plaisterers’ Training Awards is sponsored by Saint-Gobain Formula, a global leader in the supply of specialist gypsum plasters used in traditional fibrous and heritage plastering.

The Formula Snelling Cup will be presented at the Plaisterers’ Company Training Awards Ceremony to be held at a special luncheon in Plaisterers’ Hall on Monday 25th November 2019. The Winner of the Formula Snelling Cup will also receive a cheque for £750.

The Formula Snelling Cup for fibrous plastering and heritage plastering has been established to:• promote the training in traditional plastering

skills, enabling people of all ages to become fully qualified

• encourage independent training providers and colleges to build and maintain high standards in traditional plastering

• recognise achievement in producing practical craftsmen in traditional plastering whose all-round ability will increase employability in their chosen field

• ensure the continuity of traditional skills across the generations in the national interest

The Formula Snelling Cup will be awarded to the training establishment which, in the view of the Judging Panel, has demonstrated the best conversion of registration to qualifications in NVQ/SVQ level 3 and Diploma level 3 during the period 1st January to 31st December 2018.

Rules of Entry:

1. Training providers/colleges must be registered with an awarding body (NOCN/Pearson Edexcel/City and Guilds).

2. Training providers/colleges must submit the number of candidates who have registered for qualification NVQ3/SVQ3 and Diploma level 3.

3. They must also provide the number of NVQ3 and Diploma qualifications that they have achieved.

4. The period for which this information is required is 1st January to 31st December 2018.

5. All entries must be accompanied by the awarding body evidence verifying registrations/achievements and course type for the set date parameters.

6. The basis for determining the winner of the Formula Snelling Cup will be the greatest number of achievements at both NVQ3/SVQ3 and Diploma level 3 compared to the number of registrations

7. The Judging Panel’s decision will be final.
