At our northern latitudes, Tajimax calves average 70+ lbs and are significantly larger framed than any other bull we have ever used. The difference between 068 and 007 was their phenotype. WESTHOLME 007 was in a completely different class of growth than FUKUTSURU 068 who is well known to shrink down growth and milk like few bulls can. MR ITOKITASURU’s dam is linebred FUKUTSURU 068 so this bull is basically triple linebred the “magic cross.”

Also of note in MR ITOKITASURU’s pedigree is the sire’s dam, Itosekimasu. Through her impeccable pedigree we find Itokitatsuru J1081, the sire of the immortal ITOZURUDOI TF151 who is still to this day highly respected in Japan, coupled with Kitakedaka, a direct son of Kedaka, and Kedakafuji, a linebred grandson of Kedaka. Sons and grandsons of Kedaka continue to dominate pedigrees of the top Japanese Wagyu bulls lending credence to why “the Kedaka cow is valued over all others.
