DAY 1: DEPART FOR THE NETHERLANDS
DAY 2: AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDSBoard the luxurious Scenic Ruby, and raise your glass to the marvelous cruise ahead at the welcome reception in Amsterdam.
DAY 3: AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDSFreechoice: Experience an iconic canal cruise; enjoy a slice of quintessential Holland at Zaanse Schans, with its windmills and open-air conservation area; or walk or cycle through the city with your Tailormade GPS. In the evening, please join the Scenic Ruby’s captain for the official welcome dinner.
DAY 4: COLOGNE/MARKSBURG CASTLE, GERMANYFreechoice: Explore the Neanderthal Museum, take a stroll through Cologne and get up close to the filigree twin towers of the famous cathedral, or enjoy a cooking demonstration on board.Enrich: Delight in the medieval ambience of Marksburg Castle, which has remained virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages. Join in a magnificent feast with fine local food, wine, and entertainment from minstrels and colorful court jesters.
DAY 5: RHINE GORGE TO RÜDESHEIM, GERMANYVisit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum before enjoying a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument for a spectacular view of the Rhine Gorge.
DAY 6: FREUDENBERG, GERMANYEnrich: Celebrate the Scenic version of Oktoberfest, overflowing with joyous music, festive blue flags, and an abundance of fine beer. Meet the locals, see regional arts and crafts, and indulge in a Bavarian lunch with large servings of good humor and revelry.
DAY 7: WÜRZBURG, GERMANY Freechoice: Visit the Bishop’s Residence palace and sample exquisite local wine, or explore the famous Romantic Road—an important trade route during the Middle Ages.
DAY 8: BAMBERG, GERMANYImmerse yourself in the old town of Bamberg, where you can walk the same cobbled streets as medieval traders once did and savor the traditional smoked beer of the region.
DAY 9: NUREMBERG, GERMANY TO PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC Journey by coach to the fascinating city of Prague. After hotel check-in, spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 10: PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLICJoin your knowledgeable local guide on a fascinating walk through Prague and view the Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. Afterward, venture across the world-famous Charles Bridge.
DAY 11: PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLICDepart after breakfast.
