UMD 95 – Measuring equipment for installation in a control board

UMD 95 The UMD 95 is a low-cost measurement device for installation on the front board and replaces all analogue measurement devices. It measures 3-phase current and voltage in class 0.2 and all common network sizes, e.g. active power and reactive power, cos phi, harmonics and frequency. It is connected via transformers with N/5 A and N/1 A. It has a large, easy to read LED display. It is easy to operate via 2 function keys and an LED strip.

ApplicationThe device replaces all analogue measurement devices and is used in low-voltage main distribution and sub-distribution systems.

UMD 96 – Measuring equipment for installation in a control board

UMD 96 The UMD 96 is a powerful measurement device for installation on the front board* and replaces all analogue measurement devices. It measures 3-phase current and voltage in 4-quadrant mode in class 0.2 and therefore the energy in class 0.5s, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. It can be measured via transformers with N/5 A and N/1 A, as well as via Rogowski coils (333 mV). It has an illuminated, large and easy to read digital display. It is easy to operate via 4 function keys. A PT100 is integrated internally. It is used in both 400 V networks and 690 V networks. The UMD 96 can also be equipped with an optional Ethernet interface and a web server. PLC systems and building management systems can therefore be connected easily. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface with Modbus are available. The ENVIS software is used to set parameters for the device and to visualise it.

UMD 97 – Measuring equipment for installation in a control board

UMD 97 The UMD 97 is a powerful measurement device for installation on the front board* and replaces all analogue measurement devices. It measures 3-phase current and voltage in 4-quadrant mode in class 0.2 and therefore the energy in class 0.5s, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. It can be connected via transformers with N/5 A and N/1 A, as well as via Rogowski coils (333 mV). It maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4, EN 61000-2-12. It has a brilliant, large colour graphical display. The UMD 97 is easy to operate via 5 function keys. A PT100 is integrated internally. It can be used in both 400 V and 690 V networks, as well as in IT networks. It has a large 512 MB memory. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and the mini USB connection on the front. This enables internet protocols to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are also integrated. The PQ S and GO firmware modules can be added to extend the measurement device for network analysis. The ENVIS software is used to set parameters for the device and to visualise it.

ApplicationThe device is used to measure network quality and consumption in low-voltage main distribution and sub-distribution systems.

The device is connected via transformers with N/5 A and N/1 A. It maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4, EN 61000-2-12. It has a brilliant, large colour graphical display. The UMD 98 is easy to operate via 5 function keys. It has two analogue inputs for RCM. It can be used in 230/400 V TN-S networks. It has a large 512 MB memory and an integrated web server. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface (with 5 ports) and the mini USB connection on the front. This enables internet protocols to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are also integrated. The PQ S and GO firmware modules can be added to extend the measurement device for network analysis. The ENVIS software is used to set parameters for the device and to visualise it. The CPU works at 25.6 kHz.

UMD 807 – Measuring equipment for installation in a control board

UMD 807The UMD 807 is an integrated network quality measurement device for installation on the front board 144x144. It measures 3-phase current and voltage with up to 3 tariffs in 4-quadrant mode in class 0.2 and therefore the energy in class 0.5, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. It can be used in both 400 V and 690 V networks, as well as in IT networks. It can be connected via transformers with N/5 A and N/1 A, as well as via Rogowski coils (333 mV). It maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4, EN 61000-2-12. It has a large 512 MB memory. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and the USB connection on the front. This enables internet protocols to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. Analogue and digital inputs/outputs, an RS485 interface and an operating hours counter are all integrated.

The sampling frequency is 6.4 kHz. The ENVIS software is used to set parameters for the device and to visualise it.

The PQ S module is available as an optional firmware module to evaluate the voltage quality in accordance with EN 50160. The GO firmware module is used to activate oscilloscope functions for current and voltage, and to set trigger signals for limit value events. The optional RCS module supports ripple control signal detection. Application

The device is used to monitor the voltage quality in main distribution systems and transformer stations continuously.

UMD 913 – Measuring equipment for installation in a control board

UMD 913 energy quality measurement systems with integrated disturbance recorder for professional network analysisThe UMD 913 is a high-performance, multi-functional, high-precision measuring instrument for installation on the front board. It is certified as class A. It measures 4-phase current and voltage in 4-quadrant mode, in class 0.05 and therefore the energy in class 0.2s.

Regardless of the processes the run in the energy systems, the UMD 913 network analysers register even the smallest disturbances or changes. All electrical energy supply parameters are recorded consistently and precisely. Detailed quality evaluations make even the smallest deviations visible and provide information on the causes of the disturbances. The exact time synchronisation of the measurement systems via GPS or NTP enables measured data to be consolidated for comprehensive monitoring of the entire supply network. UMD systems capture all network parameters permanently to analyse and document the network quality according to self-defined or international standards such as EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4 or EN 61000-2-12. High memory capacities and effective compression methods enable long-term recordings of up to several years.

In addition to continuously recording all sizes relevant for network quality, the integrated disturbance recording module enables event-triggered recording of transient processes with sampling rates of up to 28.8 kHz. It is used individually or comprehensively in a group at the key points on all voltage levels. The measured values are monitored comprehensively, consistently and fully automatically.

Even reliable under extreme conditionsAll analogue and binary inputs and outputs, as well as all interfaces are galvanically separated and guarantee high safety with regard to working and operator safety. The outstanding immunity to electromagnetic interference is a guarantee of fault-free operation even under extreme circumstances.

Analogue inputsUMD 913 is equipped with 2 optional analogue input channels for PT100. Additional monitoring functions can be performed via 2 RCM residual current inputs.

Communication

Communication interfacesThe UMD 913 measurement system provides the following interfaces for integration into communication networks:• Ethernet• USB• RS485• Integrated web server

Data communication via UMTS routerDue to the increase in use of regenerative energies, network analysers are used more and more in systems without cabled communication connections. As an alternative to downloading the data using a USB stick, an automatic data download via the mobile phone network, e.g. via a UMTS/GPS router, is recommended. This makes communication and data transfer completely independent of any cabled infrastructure. Furthermore, there is the possibility of achieving a high data transfer rate (up to 100 Mbit/s) when downloading the measurement data even in rural regions and small towns. The UMTS router that is installed close to the network analysers establishes an internet connection and the data can be transferred securely and without problems to a central server (database) via a VPN tunnel.

MemoryMeasured data can be transferred quickly and easily to a PC. The flash memory guaranteed completely secure recordings. No measured data is lost even if the supply is interrupted.

Time synchronisationThe prerequisite for comprehensive energy quality and fault analysis is precise time synchronisation. Measured sizes from different systems can only be compared and analysed if they are recorded at the exact same time. UMD 913 covers all common time synchronisation methods.

Energy meterThe integrated energy meter with a precision class of 0.2S can be used to monitor the energy consumption in systems and trend analyses over extended periods can be used to optimise them. The active, reactive and apparent power can be recorded and analysed highly accurately.

External UPSThere is the option of using an external mini UPS in order to provide a comprehensive safeguard of an uninterruptible power supply. The complete top hat rail module is easy to install and supports the system even in the event of extended downtimes.

Energy quality recordingContinuous recording of all network parameters enables comprehensive energy quality analyses in accordance with DIN EN 50160 or individually definable quality criteria. Parameters are recorded and calculated in accordance with IEC 61000-4-30 class A, IEC 61000-4-7 and IEC 61000-4-15. Quality certificates are easy to generate at any time without special knowledge thanks to automatic evaluation and creation of quality reports as PDF files.

Continuous data recordingThe data logger function records measured data continuously. The recorded data can be transferred to a central computer without having to interrupt the measurement. Continuous measurements over many years are therefore possible. The measurement intervals can be adjusted individually. The average value over the specified time, the largest and the smallest actual value are recorded with an exact time stamp for each measurement interval.

Event recordingEvent recording provides information about the time, height and duration of limit value violations, and a classification of the events, e.g. according to EN 50160. If required, the event signatures can also be recorded with a time resolutions of half of the period duration. All analogue and binary signals are recorded if limit values are violated. Recording comprises time windows for the pre-event, error event and post-event, which can be adjusted separately. The error recording duration can therefore be fixed or controlled by the actual event duration.

Recording digital events and statusesBinary inputs are mainly used to read in messages, e.g. from the protective relay, switch positions or machine statuses, which have a significant meaning for analysing disturbance recordings. Furthermore, the binary inputs can be used to trigger disturbance records in order to obtain a high resolution recording of the network status at the moment of switching.

Evaluation

Network quality analysis using ENVIS evaluation softwareNetwork and energy quality analyses can be performed automatically in accordance with standards (e.g. EN 50160); there are numerous analysis tools available to the user for this.

UMD 701 – Measuring equipment for the top hat rail

UMD 701 / UMD 701RCMThe UMD 701 is a compact network quality measurement device with data logger for installation on the DIN top hat rail. It measures 8-channel AC/DC current and voltage, the energy in class 0.2s and the harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. It optionally maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4, EN 61000-2-12. The UMD 701 has a large 512 MB memory. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and live measured values can be observed using the web browser via the corresponding web server. This enables internet protocols to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. Measurement is performed via JS or CTB transformers (100 mA). In the UMD 701RCM, the device is used as an 8-channel residual current measurement device. Measurement is performed via residual current transformers.

ApplicationThe device is used to monitor DC motors, PV systems and to measure residual current in computing centres and building automation.

UMD 704 – Measuring equipment for the top hat rail

UMD 704 The UMD 704 is a compact network quality measurement device for online measurements and for installation on the DIN top hat rail. It measures 4-phase current and voltage with up to 3 tariffs in 4-quadrant mode and the energy in class 0.2s, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. The UMD 704 can also be equipped with an M bus interface. We recommend the 100 mA variant of JS or CTB transformers here.

ApplicationThe device is used to continuously monitor the network quality in computing centres and in building automation, as well as consumption recording for ISO 50001.

UMD 705 – Measuring equipment for the top hat rail

UMD 705 The UMD 705 is a compact network quality measurement device with data logger for installation on the DIN top hat rail. It measures 3-phase current and voltage with up to 3 tariffs in 4-quadrant mode and the energy in class 0.2s, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 50th harmonic. It optionally maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 61000-2-4, EN 61000-2-12 using the PQ S firmware module. It has a large 512 MB memory. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and live measured values can be observed using the web browser via the corresponding web server. This enables internet protocols to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. The UMD 705 can also be used as a modbus master to connect up to 31 modbus slaves in network structures. The optional GO firmware module is used to activate oscilloscope functions for current and voltage, and to set trigger signals for limit value events.

The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and live measured values can be observed using the web browser via the corresponding web server. Therefore, internet protocols such as NTP can also be read in.

PLC systems and building management systems can be connected easily via modbus TCP. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. The GO firmware module is used to activate oscilloscope functions for voltage, and to set trigger signals for limit value events. A PT100 input is also provided.

UMD 707RCM – Measuring equipment for the top hat rail

ApplicationThe device is used to measure residual currents in outgoing lines/sub-distribution systems. Therefore continuous monitoring in accordance with VDE 0105-100/A1 can be established, resulting in measuring the insulation resistance according to DGUV V3 being redundant.

Therefore, internet protocols such as NTP can also be read in.

PLC systems and building management systems can be connected easily via modbus TCP. Digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. The GO firmware module is used to activate oscilloscope functions for voltage, and to set trigger signals for limit value events. A PT100 input is also provided.

A special mains adapter (15V) is required to supply the JS transformer (hall effect). The DC Power Compact6 mains adapter is supplied as standard with the UMD 707DC.

UMD 710EVUThe UMD 710EVU is a compact, high-end network quality measurement device for CAT IV environments for installation on the DIN top hat rail. It measures 3-phase current and voltage with up to 3 tariffs in 4-quadrant mode in class 0.05 and therefore the energy in class 0.2s, as well as all common network sizes such as harmonics up to the 128th harmonic. The device maps the network quality according to EN 50160, EN 61000-2-2, EN 610002-4, EN 61000-2-12 and is certified according to class A. It has a large 512 MB memory. The device can be accessed via the Ethernet interface and live measured values can be observed using the web browser via the corresponding web server. This enables internet protocols such as NTP to also be read in and PLC systems and building management systems to be connected easily. 4 digital inputs/outputs and a serial RS485 interface are integrated. The GO firmware module is used to activate oscilloscope functions for current and voltage, and to set trigger signals for limit value events. The PQ A firmware module can be used to record and evaluate the voltage quality continuously.

ApplicationThe device is used in all CAT IV environments.A suitable CAT IV mains adapter is available in our accessories.

The residual current monitor calculates and monitors the residual currents in earthed low voltage networks. Calculation is performed as a vectorial sum of all active conductors.Residual currents typically occur due to leakage currents or insulation faults, which are normally due to mechanical faults, faulty components, etc.

By monitoring residual currents, it is possible to issue an error message at a user-defined limit value and to prevent an unwanted complete system shutdown before the residual current circuit breaker (RCCB, RCD) trips. MMD 97 – Mobiles PQ measurement device

MMD 97 The MMD 97 mobile measuring case records all voltage quality parameters and logs this data as a single-phase or a three-phase measurements in the low voltage network (230/400 VAC), in distribution networks, in transformer stations, switching systems and as a direct consumption measurement on machines and in buildings. An integrated UMD 97EL in an IP65 plastic housing is the heart.

The device used the PQ S and GO firmware modules to map all voltage quality functions according to EN 50160.

ApplicationThe case is used for mobile network quality measurements or for comparison measurements of existing measuring equipment.

CMD 68-MID – Energy meter

The CMD 68-MID is a modern energy meter for the DIN top hat rail and determines the active and reactive energy, as well as other electrical measured values (U/I/P).

PQ M centre Automated meter reading guarantees fault-free and continuous data recording for later analysis and billing according to ISO 50001. All energy meters (e.g. electricity, water, heat, gas) with an M bus interface according to EN 13757-2,-3 are read out via a 2-wire line. A corresponding, simple user interface is used for configuration and data evaluation via an IP address with any common web browser.In addition to the MID energy meters, the UMD 96M and UMD 704M can be connected to the PQ M centre. The micro SD card (16 GB) has sufficient space for your energy data.
