Prepare your guests for a unique experience! Pick up your tickets at the booth near the boat, and make sure everyone in your group has one prior to boarding. From there, let us bring your event to life on deck.

BOARDING

As you board, your group will have a chance to take a professional photo together. The prints will be available for purchase later in the cruise or at the end. Just like a restaurant, a host will greet you and take you to your table.

DINING

Settle in, meet your event coordinator or server, and get ready to set sail. If celebrating aboard Spirit of Norfolk, your server will invite you up to the buffet (which is all you can eat), take your drink order, and check back with you throughout the cruise. Let them know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. On Virginia Elite charters, your dining experience is designed ahead of time with help from your event coordinator.

ENJOY THE VIEWS

No need to stay stuck in your seat. Feel free to explore the vessel at any time – both vessels feature open-air outer deck lounge space. Sip on a cocktail while relaxing on the outdoor deck, challenge your crew to a game of shuffle board, or snap a photo with the Atlantic naval fleet as your backdrop.

The base ticket price aboard our signature Spirit of Norfolk dining

Private charters on either vessel can include a range of dining, bar and entertainment packages depending on your budget.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It will of course depend on the nature of your event, but business casual attire is our go-to recommendation for most Spirit dining cruises. For men, suggested attire includes slacks and a polo or button down shirt (no tank tops, please). For women, nice slacks, Capri pants or a sundress is recommended. We strongly discourage collarless T-shirts, jeans, shorts or athletic footwear. Brunch, lunch and other cruises are more relaxed and resort attire is fine.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Spirit of Norfolk departs from Otter Berth, which is adjacent to Townpoint Park in downtown Norfolk. There is convenient parking in the Waterside Garage, located one block from the ship. Parking is also available at the Town Point Garage, located at the intersection of Waterside Drive and Main Street. Visit norfolk.gov/parking for more information.

HOW CAN I ELEVATE MY EVENT?

• Consider chartering a private deck, or full vessel• Pre-purchase a bottle of champagne or a favorite wine to have waiting at your table• Upgrade your ticket with a bar package for each guest• Consider adding a food station or hors d’oeuvres to amp-up your menu selection• Customize the decor to suit your unique event

WHAT IF I WANT MORE PRIVACY OR CUSTOMIZATION?

While your party will always be seated together in a reserved section aboard Spirit of Norfolk, with a traditional ticket you’ll be sharing your deck with other groups. Private spaces and decks are available to rent out at an additional cost, or you may want to consider chartering Virginia Elite for ultimate privacy.

WHAT HAPPENS IN BAD WEATHER?

Our fleet can cruise in rain, shine or snow all year round. Each interior deck is climate controlled, and the weather will not affect your cruise. In the case of severe weather, the ship may remain dockside for the length of the event.
