Introduction

Since 1897, PTA’s mission has been to make every child’s potential a reality. PTA strives to achieve this by engaging and empowering families and communities to be advocates for all children. Collaboration is a key component to this mission. We recognize that it takes a village to help each child reach their potential. Berea PTA Council is committed to helping families find resources that each child may need at one point or another. Whether you are looking for fun, engaging activities that teach specific values or skills, or you are looking for a specific resource due to a developmental concern, we hope our Family Resource Guide of 80 organizations can help you find the best resources. In our guide, you will find resources that are targeted to preschool through high school aged children, but please note many of the organizations also assist younger children or even adults. With a diverse number of resources, it is our hope that all children, regardless of their abilities, are served.

Sincerely,

Jenny Cholley Berea PTA Council President

This allows for an intensive instruction with the focus on improving skills such as communication and language, fine and gross motor skills, social, play and imitation. STEPS educates the individual in an enriching and positive environment. At STEPS, we utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and interest-based curriculum in teaching the children that we serve.

We believe that competence is not defined by the ability to verbally communicate. By presuming a persons' intellect, we can assist him or her in reaching their maximum potential.
