Your guide to the 2019 Central Regional Forum.Welcome to Rockhampton: Central Queensland’s major regional centre with an estimated population of over 81,000.
With Rockhampton the epicentre, the region also known as Capricornia geographically extends from the Capricorn Coast west to the Central Highlands at Emerald, north to the Mackay Regional Council’s southern border, and south to Gladstone.
Central Queensland remains to be a rich haven for a number of Australia’s thriving industries, including beef production and mining of a vast variety of minerals, metals and coal.
Held at CQ University Rockhampton, the day will cover a vast variety of topics in various presentations from a number of esteemed
keynote speakers.
From mining, to flood levies, cyber security and more, you’ll be exposed to a number projects that are currently being undertaken in the local area.
As engineers, let’s discuss how we are future-proofing and developing Central Queensland.
The Central Regional Forum is the first of three regional forums taking place in 2019, preceeding informative gatherings representing the Southern and Northern regions of Queensland.
For more information regarding the forums, please contact Engineers Australia Queensland on 1300 653 113 or [email protected].
