Minutes: Approval of December minutes: Move by Janice seconded by Sarah, passed.

January minutes tabled to March.

Treasurer Report by Kasey: Check-ing: 10,944.32 Money Mkt: 18,315.12

- Membership coming in, no big payments upcoming, two large re-pairs to lights and hoses.

Membership by Veronika:

- Pending: Jellison, Larson, Martinson.

- New application Wing family.

Committee Reports:

- Rodeo: Rhonda – profit share of 2k now in.

- Board member of the month: January is Rhonda.

- Chuckwagon: No report.

- Drill: No report

- Pony Club: No report. Rings are wet.

• Polo by Rhonda: Arena 1 is a nightmare, Ring 2 faring better. Polo event moved to the desert. Open team and girl teams are playing.

- Trails: Anne – Poway trails are on City website, and they will go fix reported things so call them with is-sues.

- Work Hours by Rhonda: 2018 billing went out and will soon be removed from website to input 2019.

- High Point: No report

Horse Shows:

- All Breed: Rhonda – March 31

- Dressage by Janice: March 3 is first show with Sara Pinney as Judge. Need to buy 2019 tests.

- Working Equitation by Janice: First show in May with judge Barbara Price. Checks for the cancelled shows have been shredded.

- Fun Shows by AJ: Feb. 16 is first show and please volun-teer. Rain date is March 2.

- Gymkhana: Rhonda - Starts in April

- Hunter/Jumper by Rhonda: March 10 is first show.

- Rentals: No report.

New Business:

- Movie Night: Gillian – Pro-poses summer movie nights for the family and public, still finding Friday dates. Have a projector, need sound and would love a popcorn machine. Charging admission or asking for donations still being de-cides. Also, want something social going on at PVRA at

least monthly either game night, cards, bunko, etc. Horse yoga suggested.

Old Business:

- Volunteer hours suggestions listed in Sign Up Genius (link on website). Horse show needs, gate patrol (keeping all gates clear and functional) could get monthly hours. Sign up in notes area on Sign Up Genius, then enter in log book for hours at the Entry Booth. Sign Up Genius has Weed re-moval, pre-show Chuckwagon clean up outside, recycling us-ing the 3 new bins, dragging/watering opportunities, etc. Use the email [email protected] to enter Sign Up Genius online and find work hours. You will need to make a profile, then your email will work for future log ins.

- Tractor training: Rhonda – March or April, same with wa-ter truck.

- Membership level ideas: Rhonda – Looking at editing current levels, like Single Rid-er in a family, etc. Need a com-mittee to set a base set up to find something like a middle area between Family and Sin-gle memberships. Gillian vol-unteered to head up the com-mittee, email [email protected] to get on committee.

- Next Margit Deerman series coming up. Flyer will be in Horse Tails.

Call to Order: Rhonda at 710 PM

Approval of Minutes: Nancy moved to approve December minutes and highlights, Gillian se-conded, passed.

Treasurer Report: Kasey: Check-ing – $5,660.46 Money Market: $18,314.34. No deposits made yet. Nancy turned in Rodeo profit share check of $2,000.00. Payment up-coming: Tax prep, trash, and pest control.

New Business: Sponsorship program pro-posal: Rhonda distributed spon-sorship proposals that include weatherproof banners. Work hours are available for pin boards, front marquee, and finding sponsors.

Movie Nights: Gillian will put to-gether some horse related movie nights to be held in Ring 1 with a projector.

Food Handler certificate: AJ reported that the Chuckwagon passed inspection but needs a certi-fied food handler on record. AJ is taking the test Feb 2. Rhonda stated that her husband has one, and we can use his, too. Certificates are good for 5 years.

Old Business: Membership level changes: Rhonda suggests that the single rid-er part of membership be dealt with. Solo riders in a family mem-bership work hours be cut to 24. Two or more riders in a family should work 48. Also, the children age in a family membership should

be raised to 25. Gillian volunteered to write up the proposals that in-clude discussed changes along with introducing a day use fee, prorate memberships by quarter instead of monthly, dropping 4 hour initiation work hours, and a lifetime member-ship level. Gillian also pointed out that the $6 work hour rate in the bylaws needs to be updated to the current $12/hr., and that the mem-bership application should be elec-tronic filing.
