Year 7 County Cross Country Competition 2020

On Saturday 2nd February 2020, Miss Cameron and Mrs Redpath took the a selection of girls to compete in the

Hertfordshire Cross Country competition at Westminster Lodge in St Albans.

The Spring weather was perfect for Cross Country and the girls were able to put in some solid individual

performances, even more impressive considering none of the girls were available for the District round in November

due to a school trip.

The girls showed great commitment to training and were enthusiastic and hardworking throughout.

Year 7 Indoor Athletics 2020District Indoor Athletics Competition

On Wednesday 12th February, Mrs Waters and Miss Oakman took the Year 7 Indoor Athletics team to

Ridgeway Academy to compete in the District Indoor Athletics Competition.

The girls competed in a number of events and after some excellent individual and team performances

emerged in 1st place and therefore District Champions!

This meant they progressed to the County round which would take place in March but this was

unfortunately cancelled due to the premature end to the Spring term.

A huge well done to all of the girls involved!

Pupils that receive this award will have-

▪ Shown outstanding performance in their sport.

▪ Great attendance to practices and

▪ Represented the school in many competitions.

This award can also be awarded if a pupil has shown huge improvement in their performance through their commitment and dedication to the sport.

Only the top few performers for each sport will receive this award.

If pupils have more than one award, they will have a * next to their name. They should remain by the front to collect all of their certificates as the categories are called out.
