Dynamic Catholic, Alive! The Body of Christ

The readings today remind us that we are all part of the Body of Christ. God has provided each of us with a set of gifts and He expects us to use those gifts effectively for the benefit of His entire body even when that means going outside of our comfort zone. Sometimes we might underestimate our gifts or think that our special gifts don’t matter, but we are all unique and unre-peatable and made in the image and likeness of God! When we undervalue our gifts we undervalue the gifts that God gave us. Spend some silent time with Jesus to help you discern your gifts and ask Him how He wants you to use them. Where are you being called this week?

Registration for St. Joseph Parish School for the 2019-20 school year is now open. In the nearly

six years that I have been here, our parish school has made great strides toward academic, spiritual and formational excel-lence. Having multi-age classrooms, our children daily interact with other children over a three year span. Small classroom settings, individualized attention, a school where every student is known by name, spiritual formation, and a dedicated staff make up who we are. Special programs for children with spe-cial needs are a part of our daily setting. A preschool program for three and four-year-olds provides our children with a ten-year experience in learning. Grants are available through the Archdiocese of St. Louis to make your child's learning experi-ence even more affordable. For a tour of all we have to offer in education call our school principal Jill Nance at 636-332-5672 or email her at [email protected]. Let us pray for each other this week. Father Bob Samson

Stewardship Awareness “But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend without expecting anything back.” Luke 6:35 Easier said than done, right? But, if we are to imitate Christ, most of us need to practice mercy and compassion more frequently. Start with the little daily annoyances that we experience, the unkind word or hateful glance we receive. Instead of plotting revenge on that person, try saying a quick prayer for that person. Mercy and compassion will put us on the path to holiness.

There will be Mass and Anointing of the Sick next Sat., Mar. 2 at 9am. This is available for all experiencing serious physical, mental or spiritual illness.
