The Department of Tertiary Education & Financing invites qualifying pre-service

students to apply for progression sponsorship for the 2018/2019 Placement.

Application forms for Progression Sponsorship must be collected from and

submitted at DTEF Cherry Hall.

Progression consideration is based on recognition of prior learning. Prospective applicants must have completed lower qualifications not less than

three years at the time of applying except for Masters in Psychology and must

be able to complete the programme of study by the age of THIRTY- FIVE (35) or

below.

Consideration for sponsorship is STRICTLY limited to the following prioritized

fields of study.

All other courses NOT listed above will not be considered.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PROGRESSION

1) There is No progression into Diploma programmes or equivalent levels.

However, Certificate holders in Highway Engineering, Beauty Therapy,

Culinary Arts, Textile Designs, and Jewelry Designwould be considered.

2) Progression to DEGREE: Applicants must hold a Diploma in a relevant

field.

3) Progression to PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMES:Applicants must hold a

relevant lower qualification as stated in the tableabove.

4) Transcripts areNOTacceptable in place of certificates.

5) SINGLE SUBJECT CERTIFICATES:Applicants are required to COMBINE the

same before applying. Further that the combination must equate to full

exit level.

Requirement referred to at No. 5 above is applicable to City and Guilds, Institute

of Commercial Management (ICM) and other similar qualifications.

CIMA

Required qualification is Degree in Financeorin Accounting

ACCA

Required qualification is Degree in Finance or in Accounting

BICA

Subject to BICA entry requirements.

CIPS (UK)

Required qualification is Diploma in Procurement and Supply only.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Required supporting documents to be attached to the application:

I. Copy of admission letter.

II. Certified copy of Omang.

III. Certified copy of CERTIFICATES.

NB:

1. Applications for Progression Sponsorship under BICA must be routed

through BICA office.

2. Applicants are reminded that admission at institutions is NO

guarantee for sponsorship.

3. Applicants will be issued with acknowledgement receipt slips as

proof of submission of application.

The closing date for submission of applications to institutions is 29th June 2018.
