Pre Kindy Info Pack

Our Pre Kindy program is designed to effectively prepare children to enter

Kindergarten with confidence, as well as teaching them everything they need to know

in preparation for Islamic School entrance exam.

We will cover the following:

Preparing for Classroom Etiquette

Positive attitudes towards learning about language

ensure that students are more likely to experience

success in school and community settings,

We will be concentrating on preparing your child to

thrive in a classroom environment by developing their:

➢ Focus skills.

➢ Concentration skills.

➢ Self control.

➢ Confidence in using language for a variety of contexts.

➢ Confidence in expressing themselves.

➢ Ability to listen and to value learning.

➢ Basic skills of classroom and group interaction.

Talking & Listening

We aim to create an environment which values talking and listening. We will achieve

this by:

➢ Creating a relaxed atmosphere where the teacher is not viewed as the ‘boss

figure’.

➢ Encouraging children to extend their responses beyond one word answers and to

feel comfortable about speaking out in class.

➢ Valuing children’s talk by giving them time, opportunity and encouragement to

talk & listen to one another.

➢ Valuing listening as a key skill and providing opportunities for children to listen

to their peers, the teacher and others for a range of purposes.

Note: Islamic studies are based on Sunni tenets of faith.

starting something, dua for sneezing and for thanking

All lessons will involve children experiencing real world connections and will be

taught via practical and concrete materials which will enhance understanding.

What is expected from your child?

Please read through the points and ensure your child understands what is expected of

them.

➢ To conform to classroom rules and expectations

➢ To respect the teacher and peers

➢ Hand in completed homework on time

➢ Arrive to class on time

➢ Be toilet trained ☺

➢ Dress modestly (ie: no short skirts/shorts)

What does your child needs to bring to class?

o Display folder

o Packed lunch and drink

o 1 snack

o Pencil case (containing lead pencils, eraser, scissors and colours)

o Change of undergarments and clothing in case of accidents

Please ensure all of your child’s belongings are labelled with their name including their

school bag.

Our Positive Reinforcement Discipline Strategy

Here at Froggy Tuition Centre we place heavy emphasis

on good behaviour.

Our teachers will ensure that children feel safe and

secure and know the limits of their behaviour.

Children at Froggy will learn about behaviour and how it affects others, while

developing positive feelings about themselves (self-esteem).

We believe the most effective discipline strategy is to provide incentives for children

to want to be on their best behaviour via our reward system.

Each child will receive a green card once they get 3 ticks on the happy face. Once

they receive 5 green cards they can select an item from our treasure box

If a child misbehaves they will be advised about their behaviour and how to correct it.

If they continue to misbehave their name will be placed on the sad face. We aim to

remove a child’s name from the sad face as soon as possible. If your child continually

misbehaves they will receive up to 3 crosses on the sad face which will result in a red

card and you will be notified to discuss how we can work together to correct their

behaviour. 3 red cards will result in looking at other options such as 1 on 1 lessons.

Payment

There is an initial $50 non-refundable registration fee which covers resources and

programming for first term. Resource fee of $45 (covers programming, booklets,

art/craft resources, classroom resources etc) to be paid at the commencement of

each new term thereafter.

Low fee of just $30 + GST per day for morning classes with a minimum of 2 days per

week. Afternoon classes are $25 + GST per session.

Fees are to be paid in advance for the entire term or can be split into two payments

to be paid in week 2 and week 6 of current term.

Absence:

In the interest of maintaining the quality of the program and capping class sizes, if a

child misses any session this cannot be made up and payment is non-refundable.

If you wish to withdraw your child from our Pre Kindy Program we must receive

written notice before a new term begins with a minimum 2 weeks notice. If you choose

to withdraw your child during a current term balance of term fees paid are non-

refundable.

Our Pre Kindy Classes run as follows:

Dear Parent, From time to time we like to photograph or video record our students to showcase their amazing achievements at Froggy Tuition Centre. Photographs are used so you can have an insight into what we do in class. We would love to receive your consent to allow your child to be a part of our media. Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for the following purposes:

- Froggy Tuition Centre parent newsletters, promotional purposes, Froggy Tuition Centre website and Facebook page, Information Pack and open days.

There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. External Activities Consent Form

From time to time we will be having extra-curricular activities a short stroll away at Bankstown Library and Paul Keating Park. Your child will be supervised by one of our friendly teachers at all times and we seek your permission to allow your child to partake in these activities. Note: We don’t randomly take our students out of the centre. These activities are pre planned and can be found in our term curriculum. Pre Kindy School Standard Terms and Conditions

1. Non-refundable registration/ resource fee of $50 is to be paid prior to commencement of

tuition. A $45 resource fee is to be paid for every consecutive term thereafter. 2. Standard tuition fees must be paid for the entire current term in advance by week 2

including resource fee. Payment can be split into 2 payments to be paid by week 2 and week 6 of the current term. A $40 late payment processing fee will be charged per student if not paid in full by week 6.

3. If your child misses any session this cannot be made up and balance is non-refundable. 4. If you wish to withdraw your child from Froggy Tuition Centre Pre Kindy School we must

receive written notice with at least 2 weeks notice prior to commencement of new term. If you choose to withdraw your child from a current term then balance of terms fees paid are non-refundable.

5. Froggy Tuition Centre may refuse admission to students who have outstanding fees.

6. By enrolling in Froggy Tuition Centre, students/parents/guardians agree to commit to

ongoing tuition as per current term dates. Each student’s place is reserved for them in their allocated session time.

7. Students are to arrive on or before session commencement time and be collected at

end of session time. We understand that this is not always possible so notification must

be given to Froggy Tuition Centre staff ASAP when this condition cannot be met. A late

fee of $10 will be charged if a student is not picked up within 10 minutes of session finish time.

8. If a student will not be attending a session due to illness or other reason notification

must be given prior to session commencement time.

9. Froggy Tuition Centre reserves the right to expel a student for disruptive or

inappropriate behaviour. 10. We reserve the right to not accept, or cease providing our service to a child whom we

deem as not yet ready for our structured learning environment. A refund of unused sessions will be provided in this event.

11. Students/parents/guardians agree to inform Froggy Tuition Centre management

promptly of any changes to contact details. 12. Session times and fees are subject to change. We will make every effort to advise

students/parents/guardians should this occur.

13. All materials & resources bearing the logo of Froggy Tuition Centre are the sole

property of Froggy Tuition Centre ABN 90615450309

14. Under no circumstances are materials or resources given to students be sold,

reproduced or repeated in any form without prior written consent.
