2018 Percussion Placement Auditions required for all undergraduate percussion majors August 22, 2018, 1-3PM, Bliss Hall 2234-Dr. Schaft's Studio Audition sign-up list will be posted one week in-advance These auditions are used by the faculty to determine personnel and part assignments for Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Dana Symphony, Dana Chamber Orchestra Initially enroll in courses you are interested in and hope to audition into. After the ensemble assignments are posted you should adjust your registration and schedule accordingly. Audition Repertoire: Snare drum: –Richard Weiner, Etude #3, orchestral snare drum –Charley Wilcoxon, Solo #141, rudimental snare drum with bass drum and hi-hat Two-Mallet Marimba: –12 Major Scales and 12 Natural Minor Scales, memorized, see Two- Mallet Proficiencies, m.m. 12-15. –Two-mallet treble clef sight reading
